Before our son was born we bought one of the high tech swings that has 5 or 6 different rocking motions such as “car ride”, etc., but my son not only hated this swing, but even with the newborn insert it looked like his neck was not in a good position. So I read a ton of reviews for various regular swings such as this and settled on this one due to the overall positive reviews, detachable rocker, recline function, appearance, and relatively low price. This swing has served us very well so far. My son likes it and will occasionally nap in it. The seat reclines enough to where I am not worried about his neck. The swing has 3 positions and 5 speeds, and they have been working well so far. My son is only 12 pounds right now so I’m not sure how the motor will do when he gets a lot bigger, but so far so good. I have occasionally detached the seat and used this as a rocker. As a rocker it’s okay. You have to manually rock the baby of course, but my biggest issue with the rocker is that I would typically probably want to use the vibration, but the vibration is unusable on this product. The vibration is super loud and creates a rattling sound that is super annoying. This is not a big enough deal for me to take a star off, but if the vibration is really important to you just know you won’t like using it on this product. The mobile is fine. Even though it is white and does not move, I see my son looking up at it and smiling. The sounds and music are okay. Do not expect a super high quality sound, but they are passable. What I dislike the most is that the music and sounds turn off automatically after a period of time- I wish they stayed on until I turned them off when the swing is plugged in. Otherwise a good buy, especially for the price. ... show more

These baby swings are must have for any child, whether it's your first or your fifth. Purchased for my son and his wife for their first child. In 1989. I had a Graco battery operated swing that came in the big A-frame. It was a lifesaver and the only reason I ever got any sleep! Great swing with neutral colors. We had a sonar swing with our first and last it down to family and it still works. These swings are pretty durable. Swing speed is just right and the music and volume is perfect, love having options between music or just white noise. The only downfall is the vibration feature, when you turn it in it has a tapping noise that you could either think of white noise or annoying sound lol ... show more

Works very well to keep my little one asleep or calm her down when her reflux is really acting up. I always keep it at the highest setting (6) otherwise it doesn't calm/keep my little one asleep. It vibrates and require a D battery; which lasts pretty long in my opinion. We've had it for 7 weeks and we use it everyday and almost every night due to reflux issues and have only changed the battery out once. We also keep the vibration on the highest setting. Sometimes the battery can get out of place due to the flimsy cover so I recommend some duct tape, we use the paper like packing tape so we can open it easily when we need to change the battery. I don't like that the cushion part move around so much, we constantly have to readjust (although we keep it covered with a blanket for easy wash) which makes it hard every time we put our little one in it. The bears don't spin on their own they have to be winded. It would've been nice if this was electrically powered. The cradle/seat that is removable, but pretty heavy so I typically keep it attached to the swing. It does make a creaking noise like other's have mentioned. My LO doesn't mind it because it creaks very rhythmically and she stay asleep just fine. If you don't like the creaking you could probably stick some phone in the attaching areas or some rubber like tape maybe. Also it only creaks when at setting 6. If you keep it at a 5 the creaking is much less or completely gone at setting 4. My little one is now 14.04 lbs, 9 weeks old and still loves it. I would recommend to anyone with a fussy babe, or baby that suffers from colic or reflux. It also helped my little one calm down when she had gas she couldn't get out or when she had a hard time pooping. ... show more
