This is a pretty dress, and I have bought this same style through the vendor in the past. In the past the dress was made of a heavier polyester material so it’s regretful that the material is not of the same quality, hence the four stars. Per some of the reviews here, this polyester print dress does ride up a bit, but I have spanks on underneath so It’s not too bad. Also note that I have narrow shoulders so it’s not tight in the bodice or arms. I’m thinking someone with a wider frame would have less comfort than I do. I’m 5’6” about 165 pounds and I usually wear a size 12. This dress is a large & it’s the right size.

Pay attention to the material info when you think of buying a color listed here. I love the cotton dress and I am not impressed with the polyester dress. The cotton dresses fit and look like the classic vintage dress you’d expect. The material feels right, true to the era, and relatively high quality for an Amazon purchase. The cotton is more constricting though. I cannot comfortably raise my arms because the material has less give. I like it this way because it is what I jokingly call my “trophy wife dress”. I must be dainty and proper in this dress that has less freedom of movement. Some of the colors are listed as a polyester material. It is stretchy and does not give the classic cotton feel. If you prefer stretchy dresses then maybe this is for you, but I do not like them. I do not like the way the material rolls and bunches. I do not like how it sits on my body and it’s obvious just by looking at it that it is not the proper classic cotton. But I can lift my arms in this dress and make wider steps. If I needed to spend time doing anything active but I wanted to pretend to look elegant, I’d probably go for this dress.

Like: colors, style, price Cons: Chest tight, hip too big This is the 2nd dress I purchased from this maker. Same style. In both dresses, I will take in the hip area. The bodice is tight and not much play-stretcher would be nicer. Dig the print and the famous artist! Will wear to friends art opening. The fabric is cotton whereas, the other dresses are totally different fabric-tweed ? I got that fast last min discount with the min.s counting down and it knocked off @$10.00! I was surprised I could fit the dress when it came out of the package but it contures just right and gives you room in the hips! I followed the 2x measurements which were accurate for my waist but a bit larger for my bust! All in all I like it and would recommend everyone invest in a tape measurer for more accurate fits! I gave it a 4 because I don’t really care for how close the cap sleeve fits

I finally got a chance to wear one of my dresses. I purchased this dress in several colors, but never felt the urge to try one on or wear one until today. I wore the dark blue one. I had the figure for it, but a concern of mine was whether the dress would ride up because I am shapely! If you're shapely you know what I mean...big thighs, big bum, wide hips and a small waist... a true hourglass. Since the dress was fitted and generous in fabrc, it's length was just above my knees. I needed that bit of grace today for the an event I attended. I was shocked to see another woman with a very similar dress, but not to worry. I looked better in my dress and the color was a darker blue. My dress made the most of my figure. That's what's different about this dress. You make the dress. It doesn't make you. . Based on the intense stares I received from the women and men, I knew I looked GOOD! I can't speak more highly of the designer who made this dress because it celebrated my curves.... tastefully. Think Sophia Loren, but appropriately covered up.

I returned my XL for L and it fits like a dream! The fabric is a really good quality cotton blend too, not that nasty polyester garbage a lot of cute retro dress get made from. I love the neckline and the colors. If i had one criticism, my dress, just by bad luck of the pattern repeat only has Frieda's full head and body visible in two places on the whole dress. It's still a neat floral, just a little less special when you can't find Frieda. I don't know if that's even something they can do anything about, I was just a little bummed because the one I had to return had more full Frieda faces front and center. But it looks fantastic with my Dia De la Muertos earrings nonetheless! Would definitely order more from this brand. Shipping was super quick too

This dress came exactly as advertised. It is beautiful. In my opinion, it could have been a little bit tighter, but I just like wearing my clothes tight. But perfect for work and I am going to buy in other colors. I really love this dress.

I absolutely love this dress! The material is thick and the design/cut is great. The only thing I don’t like about it is if you have a larger rear end it does ride up some and you have to pull it down but other than that I love it. Sizing up would probably help about it riding up but it may affect the dress’s fit. Great for a professional work look.
