  • A Very Useful Tool.. especially for the price!
I purchased 2 of these grabbers, so I'd have one available in my home office and the rest of my house. I've noticed that others have given this tool a lot lower rating than it truly deserves, under rating its strengths at being able to grip, and lift objects because of it not being "strong enough" to do certain jobs....... it is not the fault of this tool. It can grip and lift, plenty of given weights, but can ONLY be as strong as the person's using it, ability to grip and apply enough pressure. I find this grabber to be plenty strong enough to do what's needed, if one's grip is strong enough for the task at hand. I am NOT impressed, however, with the; "micro sized" magnet... that is imbedded in one of the claws. I would say, roughly , that this magnet is MAYBE about 3mm in diameter, and may have a load capacity of about 1 pound in lifting capacity. (if that much!?) Still, all together, this IS a very good and well made, "grabber"! If you use this item as it's intended to be used, and don't use it as a "crane... capable of moving heavy furniture".......... it's very well worth every penny you might pay for it! ... show more

  • Manual power grabber works well to pick up things and is very convenient
I really like this power grabber because it worked well. It's easy to use and seems to be sturdy enough to pickup objects that are not too heavy. The rubber coating on the fingers helps very much to keep things stable when picking up xtuff. There is also a magnet on 1 side of the fingers but it's very small and I did not find it to be terribly useful. Maybe ok for small objects but it would be doubtful to pick up things other than those which are very lightweight. Finally it is easy to fold up If you are not using it It and has a convenient hanger loop on the hand!e if you want to leave it unfolded. ... show more

  • Best for Gripping Lightweight Items
I like the extra reach the grabber gives me without having to find the step ladder. It's not great for grabbing heavy items like flour and sugar and does not fit completely around these bags. It's good for reaching glasses from cabinets and even avocados from trees! A big help but not appropriate for heavier items. ... show more

  • Best tool ever for picking up things
We use this to pick up Pine cones out of the yard. No more bending over for us. It works great and is easy to use. The grips are easy to grab and the price is right.

  • This is a really good device
I enjoy calling it my extended hand. It fits in very tight places and retrieves whatever you're looking for. It will not hold a heavy burden (like getting down a folded blanket) but it is extremely helpful for all the little stuff. It's lightweight and has a hook handle. I just hang it on a hook and grap it when I need it. It does fold up but I don't bother with that. ... show more

  • Bad design compared to my last grabber
Although this product was just delivered about an hour ago, first impressions are bad. This product was ordered as a replacement for a similiar grabber that I broke last week. The breakage was my fault, as I sat on the head of the old grabber while it was left on my recliner seat. Oops ;-) I loved the old grabber, as I used it to pick up things that I'd dropped by mistake around where I was sitting, while recovering from surgeries that made bending difficult. As soon as I tried the new grabber, a wave of dissapointment came over me. For one thing, the portion of the handle you squeeze is larger, designed for a full hand grip, and it's harder to use due to a heavier spring. In contrast, the grabber I was using had a shorter squeeze trigger, with a lighter spring, so that it could be easily squeezed with a couple of fingers, operating the end tongs that appear to be the same size. IOW, this newer grabber requires more hand strength to perform the same tasks. Also, the end tongs are not aligned well, with one slightly to one side of the other. Since I often used the old grabbe to pick up very small items (even tiny pills when dropped), I worry that this new grabber won't work as well. I was going to reorder the same grabber I've been happy with. But, when I clicked on the order details for it, it takes me to a listing for a different grabber model. Grrrr Oh well. Next time I order a grabber, I'll pay closer attention to tiny details like the handle and squeeze "trigger" design, buying one that more closely matches the first grabber I purchased. Update - October 11, 2020: After using this grabber for over a month, in my opinion, it's even worse than I gave it credit for. Frankly, I don't understand all of the better reviews, unless the customers have never used anything else to compare this product to. Not only is this grabber harder to use (handle design, squeeze effort needed to close claws), it is also less accurate to use (claws don't mate up as well for picking up tiny objects). It's better than nothing. But, the first grabber I bought was much better. Last Update - October 21, 2020 This item is now broken (the reason this will be the final update). The center joint (plastic sleeves) is cracked on one side, making it unusable, since it will not stay sraight in the center arew. Grrrr. The first grabber I bought was great I used it from September 2019 until September 2020 without any problems. It was my fault it broke after a year, because I sat down on the center joint. In contrast, this item has been inferior from day 1, and was only used from September 2020 to October 2020 before failing. ... show more

  • Very weak
Had hip surgery, hospital sent me home with one, ordered this one from Amazon. No comparison. It's very weak, jaws out of line, wouldn't recommend. Looking for another one, as I need more than one for different rooms when on my walker.
