  • Aorkuler Dog GPS Tracker -- Funny name, works really well
Model: 2024-Tracker
We love going to the off leash dog park with our dogs. One of my dogs is a farm rescue. He loves to hop fences and disappear under brush. How do I find him in areas there is poor or no cellphone coverage? I got an AORKuler Dog GPS tracker. It comes in a zippered pouch. Inside, you will find a fairly well written quick start guide, the controller and antenna, the tracker and fixture for attaching it to the collar. Also, there's two magnetic charge cords. You will need a charger with two USB-A sockets. Both the tracker and the controller have a GPS receiver in them. The tracker transmits the GPS coordinates over a license-free wireless connection to the controller. The controller computes the distance between the two GPS readings and displays the distance in feet or meters. The controller also has a magnetic compass so that it can indicate the direction. At a close range the tracker and controller pair using Bluetooth. It uses a long range protocol for distances over 50 ft. I've tracked my dog as far as 800ft away. So how do I get my dog to come back? The controller can send a command to the tracker causing it to sound a tone. At night the controller can turn on the LED so that you can see the dog at night. I reward him for hearing the tone and coming back to me. What I like: 1) No cellphone bill. Can use in areas where there is no cellphone coverage. 2) I'm pleased with the distance in semi-wooded areas. 3) The battery life for both tracker and controller are really good. What an upgraded product would include: 1) A mechanical buzzer in the tracker would be nice. Sometimes dogs need an extra nudge. 2) It would be nice if the controller could forward both the tracker and controller's information via Bluetooth to a app that uses downloadable maps to show where the dog and controller are. Sometimes dogs go where humans can't quickly get to. 3) I wish there was an RSSI or SNR indication that would let me know the how well the data communication between the tracker and the controller is doing. I need to be able to judge the distance to recall the dog. This depends a lot on terrain and vegetation. My dog will always love to hop fences and run under brush. But I know where he is and can get his attention to come back. I'm really impressed with this product ***** ... show more

  • Piece of Mind Without a Subscription
Model: 2025-Tracker-Yellow
I have two Aorkuler 2 dog GPS trackers (one for each of my dogs). I needed a way to track them "just in case" as we frequently hike and both are off leash hikers that do roam a bit off trail. The Aorkuler GPS tracker was easy to set up and simple to use. I big perk for me was that it doesn't require a subscription like so many others in this category do. While I haven't had to use it yet to find one of my dogs (knock wood) I have tested it on the trail and it does appear to give a good reading on my dog's location and distance. I liked that Aorkuler has added a second color which makes it easier for me to keep the correct tracker paired with the correct remote. I also appreciate that their customer service is responsive to a couple questions I had after my purchase. ... show more

  • So glad I got this!
Model: 2024-Tracker
We live out in the country with sporadic cell service and couldn't use an AirTag so this GPS tracker has been wonderful. The tracker takes a bit of time to find the GPS, which is placed on her harness because collars don't last on her long, and lags about 2-3 minutes behind her actual movement but on acreage without fences and not using a leash, it gives us the general direction and location of our dog so we can take our ATV to go get her! Only issue is that after turning it off and seeing the red light to indicate it is actually off, it seems to turn itself back on and then has to be charged again before the next walk around our property which, time wise, doesn't always work out! The battery life is good when it stays off between walks and she doesn't even notice the weight of it on her harness (not heavy) so it's a win-win for all of us. It's worth the price and we are glad we purchased it as it keeps us from having to drive around in the ATV or car for 30 minutes looking for her. ... show more

  • Game changer
Model: 2024-Tracker
Living on 60 acres, which are surrounded by thick woods and farm fields is a great place for dogs ... and deer and other critters. Throw a puppy into that environment and you have a good test (and need) for a GPS tracker. My wife and I are in our late 60s and no longer willing or able to chase down a dog on the heels of a deer, coyote or fox. We rely heavily on a stim collar for recall, but it's not 100% effective if the dog ignores it or the collar is loose. About a week ago, our (now 50-pound "puppy") took off into the woods and we quickly lost sight of his direction-then it started to rain and snow. Thirty minutes later he responded to my continued calling, at which time I vowed to get a GPS tracker. After extensive research, we chose the Aorkular Tracker 2. It's been a game changer. No fees, quick charging, simple to set up and use. Even in our thick woods, I have a great idea where the pup is and how far away. Though it sometimes takes a few minutes for the tracker and controller to hook up with satellites, this tool works well and is very simple to use. I have absolutely no fear of Bud getting lost. And really, for the money, it's a deal. ... show more
