Top 3 pros: 1) Very sturdy: they held all of my 250 pounds with ease. They feel as solid as my bolt-on handles. 2) Folding: these fold-up and get out of the way. I never hit them with my head. Game changer. 3) Rearward mounting: can mount these closer to the A-pillar than any other grab handle design, allowing a wider grip, which improves egress. 4) Comfortable hand rest; just feels comfortable for cruising on- or off-road ... kinda like well worn-in jeans. Now the constructive criticism. 1) Pouch too small: the pouch included with the "GP Grip PRO" is not very useful for me. It wil fit a slim flashlight or a pen, but that's about it. Mine remain empty, so I'd recommend the "GP Grip LITE" at roughly half the price instead of these. ... show more

The good news is that they're sturdy, but they really don't offer any functionality over cheaper straps. They do fold up, but eventually they flop down regardless of how much tightening I do. So that feature, which was a reason I bought them, is a bust. The padding for the handle attaches using velcro, so you don't have a flush hunk of padding to hang onto. Some might these better without the padding, which also covers the blue finish. If your have a spiderweb or Alien sunshade, you'll have some potential trouble getting these to fit. I bought a set for the front as a test. I won't add a set for the rears. But I see why some folks like these, 3 1/2 stars is my actual rating. ... show more

Unfortunately I forgot i got these so they sat on a shelf in the garage for nearly two months. Soo i was not able to return them. First, I have had rugged ridge and another name brand for this, the nylon/ synthetic straps for the handles ALL last about 18 months in the Arizona HEAT. For some reason i assumed the connection to the handle was something else, it's just WOVEN NYLON.which rorts in the az sun then breaks when you need them to work. ....there is no left or right, they both go on facing the same direction, on onesie every thing faces in, on the other it all faces out. 3. There were supposed to be two small pockets with them, they were not there. 4 the instructions showed a glass breaker tool., Nope. .... These are just fancy looking. I will see if they actually function and update ... show more

I don't usually write reviews but thought I would share my honest experience with this product. The installation instructions are not very good. They have small pictures that are scattered all over a small piece of paper and don't follow a logical progression from start to finish. But a Jeep owner can figure it our. The product has two little Velcro straps on one side that are not covered in the instructions so it isn't clear what to do with them. It's easier to install this product if you remove the roof tops - otherwise it's almost impossible to get the larger Velcro straps to line up and pulled tight - this is not mentioned in the instructions. The product comes with little wraps that go around the grip section of the handle but, because of the size and positioning of the Velcro, you can not pull them tight around the handle. The product appears to be sturdy and well built and the stitching seems to be done well. I like that the handle can be positioned such that I can have my elbow bent at 90 degrees - just more comfortable for me. I like that the product can slide along the roll bar for individual passenger/driver positioning. The product comes with two little pouches which don't appear to be very functional. I removed them because they just made the installation more cumbersome. I may try adding one of them to the driver side just to hold a ball point pen. ... show more

These look very professional and are very sturdy. I am 200 lbs. and I can hang on these with no movement or give. I like the total wrap design much better than the single straps. Looks better and is more robust. The pockets and attachments are a plus. The handles are made like climbing carabiners without a latch. I bought the orange handles to match the JT Mojave. It is not an exact match but it does not clash at all and looks great. Get these, you will be happy if you are looking for a wrap-over handle solution. ... show more
