Great look, bizarre fabric
UPDATE: I kept the dress. It was NOT AT ALL HOT to wear. I don't know how it will wash, but it was a great for an event! I wore a short, not very full crinoline -- I recommend an even longer, fuller one for the right look. But I'm highly satisfied. Upgraded from 4 to 5 stars. It's not a great frequent-wear purchase, but if you want a vintage look for an event, it's a great buy. I haven't decided whether to keep the dress or not -- I bought it to wear to a swing dance, and it looks great and is nicely made. The problem is the fabric, which has a bizarre, rubbery feel. I only need it for one night, and it's a good value for a one-time costume, but I love to dance and wonder if it will be really, really hot. I also doubt it will look good after a wash. Note: The fabric is SUPER stretchy (which is why some people say they wear it backward for a sailor suit look) but then tightens so if you have any lumps they will show! I am petite and curvy and wear a size 8, I bought a small and it fits like a glove. Literally.

Good quality for the price! Adorable and comfortable.
My son is getting married next month, and I wanted a nice retro dress for the occasion. The dress is stretchy, no zippers and it fit just fine. The fabric is thick and drapes nicely. I am 5”2 and around 135-40 and a medium was comfortable for me. This dress will get me through the wedding just fine. Might need a petticoat to really pop. I got light blue with polka dots and it is really cute. I like the neckline/collar, it is flattering to my body shape.

I LOVE THIS DRESS
I LOVE THIS DRESS! I was wary of the sizing, since when items tend to run small, even an XL doesn't work for my. I've got a large bust and am wider in the waist, and this dress still fits with just enough room for a perfect comfort fit (it's got a great bit of stretch as well!). The material is MUCH thicker than I expected, SO GREAT. I wore a bright red bra under it, and I was worried I'd have to wear a tank top, but not see-through at all!! I did wash this dress before wearing and had some issue with the collar. It's got interfacing in it that is somewhat plastic-y feeling and so when I washed in cold on delicate, it did wrinkle the collar some, and a warm iron didn't take all the wrinkle out. When needed, definitely hand wash, even though it's always a pain. Other than the collar, I've got no other complaints at this time, I love this dress and want more!

Dots are "painted," not a part of fabric
I really do love this dress - the fabric is a great weight, not too heavy and hot for the southeast US summer, not see through, etc. The shoulders are not super generous (though I have a swimmer's build, and that could be part of it), and it slightly affects the collar laying flat, but I think it could be pressed or tacked down. My issue was with the color and dots. First, I got the blue dot, which appears in the product image as a pretty, bright sky blue. Well...it is actually like, crayola original bold markers blue. It is so intense. Which I guess could be fun if you're purchasing this dress sort of ironically, for a costume or themed event or Disney-bounding (which I was not). And second...the dots are painted on. And they're pretty faded out to begin with. Think of a stamp that's running out of ink. Again, not an issue if you're wearing once, or in a play, but for me, the dress has to go back and I'll replace with one of the solid colors. Or maybe 2. I really do love the fit, especially with a petticoat underneath. For those for whom it would help, I'm 5'8" and 160, 34B. Usually wear a large/10 in clothing. Ordered a large and it's much more snug through the mid and shoulders (as I stated) and chest than I expected, and the length hit right at the knee. And it really needs a belt, in my opinion, to make it look more finished.

Beautiful Mustard Dress! A must have!
This dress is so lovely! The cut is perfect, it accentuates your curves in all the right places. I tried it on with a sports bra and I still looked curvy. I ordered a size small and its a lovely fit. I wear a 32dd 27 waist and 38 hips. I usually wear a sz small in tops and a 2 in pants. I'm only 5ft 1 so for me the dress hits an inch or two below my knees. The fabric is heavy, thick and stretchable. Fabulous quality and excellent vintage cut. My only reason for giving it four stars is sheer pettiness. It lacks pockets. Which I feel is a missed opportunity as the pleats and fullness of the skirt would hide it well.

Absolutely gorgeous
This dress is just beautiful! The fabric is a four way stretch for ultimate comfort. It hugs the body perfectly, but doesn't show the flaws. With a petticoat it is just adorable. In fact, it is so cute that my best friend decided that she wanted it and took it home with her!
