This ring IS copper under the black gold plating and it will rub off and the copper will turn your finger green. I figured that would happen when I bought the rings for my spouse and me. What I didn’t expect was for every stone, 35 in total, to still be there after four months of me working in a warehouse, sifting my hands through boxes filled with motorcycle parts, moving tires around, working fast and with my hands all day. The rainbow topaz stone has no scratches, it is not cheap colored acrylic or glass. It’s also copper, not going even cheaper with nickel, or I’d be allergic to it. Fits as expected. We will be getting better rings now that we’re settled, we bought those fast when we eloped, but if you don’t care about it turning to copper don’t pass up this ring.
