It was a typical day - the sun was shining, the pool was sparkling, and my self-esteem was high. That's when I decided to up the ante and introduce the GoSports Splash Hoop to our family pool time. Little did I know, this hoop was about to slam dunk its way into our hearts (and occasionally on our heads)! Assembly? Easier than a 2-piece jigsaw puzzle. It comes with a pump too, which was a welcome surprise. I mean, who doesn't love getting a free pump with their pool basketball hoop? It's like getting fries with your burger, it just completes the package. Now, let’s talk about the real game. Playing with the Splash Hoop is like being in the NBA Finals, only wetter and with significantly less skill. One minute you're casually lounging on your inflatable flamingo, the next you're being dunked on by your seven-year-old niece who suddenly thinks she’s the LeBron James of the pool. The basketballs it comes with are also excellent. I'm pretty sure they're infused with some sort of magic because no matter how terribly you throw, they somehow always end up in the hoop. Or, you know, in the neighbor's yard. Or their barbecue. Or occasionally in their very surprised dog’s mouth. Really, it’s anyone’s game. Durability is top-notch. This hoop has survived torrential splashes, rogue cannonballs, and even an unfortunate incident involving my 200-pound Uncle Jerry who mistook it for a pool floatie. (Note to buyers: It is NOT a floatie. Uncle Jerry is okay, by the way.) The real magic of the GoSports Splash Hoop, though, is the fun it brings. It has singlehandedly turned our peaceful pool time into a full-blown water basketball championship. Poolside negotiations have become more intense than a UN meeting. Alliances have been formed and broken. The drama! The thrill! The splashes! In conclusion, the GoSports Splash Hoop has added an unexpected dash of excitement and competition to our pool parties. It's fun, durable, and even comes with its own pump. Just remember to keep an eye on your grills and warn your neighbors when the game is about to begin. This has been the best game investment yet for the pool! We have an above ground and put the basketball goal on wooden blocks on the deck to make it go over side of pool like it should, othewise ball came down on rim of pool. Was an easy fix. The kids (our youngest is age 9) to adult love it. So much interaction with everyone (even the 9 year old ) in the pool. Seems like everytime anyone gets in the pool, right away they are shooting baskets , playing PIG or having a basketball game.. Very great buy and well worth the money.. ... show more

My son really likes this hoop. It is probably his favorite toy to play with in the pool. It feels sturdy and was very easy to assemble. It is made out of plastic and if he hung on it the hoop would probably break. It seems to be heavy enough when filled with water to be easily pushed/pulled into the pool. I have 3 grandsons, and 3 graddaughters that love playing basketball in the pool. This is a very sturdy hoopand it didn't fall over while the oldest grandson was slamming the ball. The kids enjoyed it so it was worth it.
