We've had it for a month. As far as construction goes, it's sturdy, and we've had great pool-time family hoop games with it, but almost immediately, the white decorative paint becomes brittle and flakes away all over the pool edge and into the water. The bracket that holds the rim to the backboard broke after a month of use. I contacted the seller and asked for a replacement part, and they said, “check a hardware store for something comparable.” I feel like when you purchase a plastic goal for over $100 it should last more than a month.

This product would be great, but after one night of use the paint flaked off the backboard. It left paint chips all over my deck and floating in my pool. The worst part is I tried to be fair and contact the company, but they never got back to me! Bad customer service! ***update... company did email me back and worked to make things right! I received a new backboard in less than a week. It was towards the end of the summer season for us(Ohio) so we didn’t swap them out yet. We’ll see if the new one is any better. At least they tried! From beginning to open the box until ready to play was approximately 15 minutes, and this was assembling without any rush. It's attractive, the plastic is thick and solid, and everything fit together perfectly. And you're left with a useable ball pump after all is said and done! Very solid product.

Overall, it’s a nice setup. The rim could be a bit more sturdy but this equipment should last through the dunks and outdoors around the pool. Only 4 screws and 5 total pieces to assemble.
