The width is perfect, sticks perfectly to plastic, cardboard, just about anything so just take it out when you're ready to use it because it is very sticky. Honestly I had to buy this for Amazon returns because the original shipping labels are always placed over the resealable part on packages, and they just send paper printed labels on Prime Try Before You Buy orders. Used it to tape decorations on a vehicle for a parade. Did not realize said vehicle would also have to go 45 mph on the way to the parade route. There's no reason this should have held all the decorations on the truck but it did. I've also had great success with the black duct tape version - fixed that rubber sound proofing thing under the dishwasher door, or more accurately, covered the old one in tape. The cutter is easy, the tape is strong and sticky, and it’s easy to unroll. Like most tape rolls, it’s REALLY loud, so don’t do it when your little ones are napping! 😩 oops!!
