The set is of great quality as the animals and things look like something out of a model train hobby store, instead of toys. That is the great part. It is better feeling than I expected it to be. So many sets feel cheap, and this one doesn't. That being said, the age range says 3 plus, and I don't know if I agree with that on the whole. I normally shy towards being more liberal with the ages, as we teach our kids not to eat things anyway. Some parents just don't, and while a shame, is usually why the toy companies rate things certain ages. So usually we look at things and know that we can shave at least a year off of toys recommendations and be ok. This set as the picture shows has a variety of things with it, but unfortunately that includes corn feed for chickens and some minimal sized animals. My suggestion is to hold those items back for the younger kids. Otherwise, this set is excellent. Much better than the over cartooned farm sets that are out there by the big name folks. My suggestion is buy it, but be careful and think of what parts you're giving them to play with. ... show more

This farm animal play set is a lot of fun for an older kid who enjoys model setups. The attention to detail is quite high for a play set too, and the paint for the animals and other pieces are pretty true to life. The only real concern is that some of the pieces, especially the farm equipment, have very delicate parts that would be almost instantly snapped by younger kids or anyone who can't handle delicate and high dexterity manipulation. ... show more

I ordered this for my 3 year old son for Christmas. It was very easy to put together and he loves it. The barn is very sturdy and all the pieces are durable. My 8 year old daughters even enjoy playing with it. Very happy with this toy farm set.

    • Was missing a piece of the road
This is a cute farm toy. Not hard to assemble. But we weren’t given the right pieces for the roadway. Ours came with 3 of the same end pieces instead of 2 the same and 1 where it can connect in to the piece after the curve. So it does not end with the slight decline.

Reminds me of the brand named toy sets from when I was kid. It kept my younger kids entertained for a long time as they could play both with setting it up, and then all the different imagination scenarios. I ordered this as a gift for my niece and she absolutely loves it. We had a lot of fun putting it together even though some pieces were a little difficult to snap together. It took about an hour to get it all put together and she does tend to take it apart and put it back together in different configurations which is apparently super fun to her. There were some super small pieces like sprinkles in the set but they got "lost" almost immediately as I was afraid they were a choking hazard. My son loves this farm, and all the animals that came with the set. It's pretty good quality and has many pieces to make for a complete farm. The size is just perfect, so it's not small or too big, and all the pieces fit where they are supposed to. It came with a bunch of farm animals, 3 tractors with their trailers (milk, corn and standard trailer), a track for the tractors, and accessories (lights, signs..etc). It is pretty detailed, so the little ones will love it for sure. I played with my son and it was great for his imagination, learning, and pretend play.
