This umbrella is huge and would keep 4 people dry at the same time! It would be awkward to have it in a crowded area without poking someone's eye out. But defintely sturdy and well worth the money if you're looking for a very large umbrella.

All I can say is that this umbrella checks all the boxes. I wanted one that was 1). Larger than 68 inches and 2). Is durable. I like the convenience of having a larger umbrella because it gives you the most protection from rain, outside of wearing a full body rain coat and you never have to worry about not being covered. This umbrella is manual opening, and not automatic, just as an fyi. I chose the 80in model, as I already own a 68in umbrella, and while it is great for 1-2 people, I wanted something that can accommodate more than that. The 80in can easily fit up to 4, full size adults and keep everyone dry in heavy rain. My only concern is the stitching used to secure the fiberglass ribs under the umbrella. For some reason, they used very thin strings to secure them and from my experience, these tend to fail very easily and dont last long. I can only hope this is not the case. So far, I am happy with this umbrella. The construction seems to be strong. I like how the mechanism locks both opened and collapsed. I have not had it during a rain storm yet. I bought it because it is the largest I could find and can cover two full grown men underneath it.
