Godiva Belgian Chocolate has always been my 'go-to' high end chocolate - smooth and full tasting - one or maybe two pieces is a treat that at Christmas is lovely to share and for me to set back, much as Agatha Christie's Poirot sitting in his chair at the window reading a book while consuming two of his favorite Belgian chocolates. I ordered these on Amazon directly from Godiva. They came perfectly boxed and fresh. The chocolates are divine as usual. I buy myself a box of these every year and then eat a piece every night after dinner. It is such a nice treat for me. My favorite is the one with the chocolate crème brûlée type filling. You can’t go wrong with Godiva and I was very pleased with the price of this holiday box this year. Thank you Godiva for my awesome Christmas present to myself. I purchased this as a gift, but when I received it yesterday the seal was broken in sections and severely deformed. Upon opening the box, the pieces were melted and soupy. I reordered 2 more planning to give them as gifts. I fear that these will be destroyed as yesterday's was. I've changed my mind and need to cancel these 2 as well. ... show more

I’ve always loved Godiva chocolate-not inexpensive but it’s good quality chocolate so I don’t mind paying a premium for that. This box was an exception: many of the chocolates were sunken in at the bottom as though they had been sitting around a long time & several had crystallized centers or chewy stale centers. Not the same as the godiva stores. Miss them for sure. Chocolate was good but seemed a little discolored in some spots. Maybe old or not handled properly.
