Very sturdy for all 3 of my cats to be on. They aren’t super large cats so not sure how it would hold up. All of my kitties are around 9-10 lbs. it’s super huge in person and lots of room to play. The media could not be loaded. This is the biggest cat tower we've ever bought or built. It feels solid. The instructions were fairly image based. Not all parts were labeled/stickered, so I recommend doing a quick inventory and lay out all of the pieces in order of the materials list before beginning putting it together. I may also help to have a tape measurer available at first, oddly enough. Makes it easier to identify which pieces are which during inventory. Overall we had fun putting it together while the cats took advantage of the larger of the two boxes the pieces shipped in (two large boxes, the larger of the two is definitely a two-person-lift situation). If I had been lifting and assembling this alone, it would have felt like a far greater task as I'm not like.. hella strong or anything. Anyways - the cats basically live for this thing, now. One of them has claimed the top-most perch and tends to climb up the side of the tower rather than going up through the levels individually, so we've chosen to anchor it to the wall from the higher plank-type level. I kinda of doubt it would topple over - but it isn't worth the risk. This thing would be heavy enough to use up all 9 if it caught a cat on the way down. Also recommend anchoring this tower to a stud if you have children in your household. We highly recommend this cat tower! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. WOWO!! It took me 3 hours to put together I’m NOT handy and never put anything together In my life .. I think it took a long time because the poles and squares aren’t labeled so I had to look at photos online to help me to know how to put in together ! Very sturdy and my cats love it!!!! Our cats love the toy and use it daily, they now even use it as a shortcut going to and from upstairs. If you notice in the picture, the new toy is next to one of the old school toys with the nicer carpet and better wood. This toy is not nearly as durable as the old one, but in the same sense, if it was, it would weigh 500 pounds and cost a $1000. The value for the money is fine though as long as you know what you are getting. We paid $275 delivered and that is the most I think I would pay for this. Assembly was a joy lol, actually its not that bad. It took my wife and I about 90 minutes from start to finish. I cannot stress this enough, use a tape measure! The parts are poorly labeled and you will need to measure the parts to follow the directions. The cat boxes are a little small but work fine, however I don't think our maine coon is going to fit in them once he is full grown. The carpet is very thin and is directly on the wood, as a human I think it should be softer and fuller, but the cats don't mind. However due to the carpet being so thin, the cats don't use it as a scratching post. Which is fine, but the included scratching posts are small. The seem to enjoy both toys side by side but they do like scratching the carpet on the old toy. It's fairly stable but given the cats jump on it so much, tying it off to the wall might not be that bad of an idea in order to avoid an IKEA type incident. Unfortunately one of the little mice hanging from the top recently came off, although we expected this. Overall 4 stars and I will update this review should anything change. ... show more

All 3 of my cats love this. It is a mother and 2 of her teenaged kittens. The mother was a stray and knows how to climb well. One of the boys is bold and follows her lead, where the other one is a bit more timid. They immediately figured out how to climb the ladder and one of the boys ran across the swing, though it took working up his courage to try it. I have a feeling that it will soon get a bit crazy in there once they get confident with it and start to do zoomies and chase on it. Appears to be of very sturdy construction and was easy to assemble, though you have to pay a bit of attention, making sure to measure the unmarked parts and check the hole position in the platforms for correct orientation. ... show more

We have too many cats, thanks to my wife, and I needed to move the smaller trees into other rooms and get a cat "palace". This one is pretty cool and a great value. It's very heavy, which comes in handy, considering it's height. We've had plenty of trees get knocked over (sometimes in the middle of the night, which'll scare the crap out of you), and this tree is too sturdy for that. We have a full grown male cat that weighs quite a bit, a mid sized younger female and two kittens. They all love it and it still looks fresh after a couple of weeks.
