Color: Beige
I have half-heartedly looked for cat condos in the past but they have always been far too expensive to even consider. This condo caught my eye and after much debate I ordered it. Glad I did! It is absolutely enormous compared to other cat condos out there and the price is incredible. Even online they sell little two level maybe 4 foot tall condos for $130 and up. I was a little concerned about the quality due to some of the reviews but when I got it I was pleasantly surprised. It is made out of MDF (medium density fiberboard) and a bit tougher than the particle board I was expecting. It came packed like a puzzle in a huge box and thankfully there was no damage. I could see how if the box took a bad fall the condo could easily be damaged because there was no padding of any sort just a plastic bag all the parts were inside of. The carpeting on it was much softer than expected and the color is neutral enough that it is fairly unobtrusive in my home. So far so good, over all I'm pleased with it. It took me less than a half hour to assemble and was really simple. I was back and forth to the kitchen checking on dinner while assembling it. You know it's not rocket science if it could be done without undivided attention. It is slightly wobbly if left free standing. I have it against a wall and it's just fine. I have over time had to tighten the posts for the upper perches mostly because I didn't want to crank them down too tight at first and possibly damage them. Some reviews complained about the ramps not going on nicely. I didn't have an issue with them. The bracket used to attach the ramp has a circular hole at one end and an oval hole at the other to put the screws through. If you attach the side with the circular hole to the ramp itself the other end allows some adjustment in the mounting position on the condo. Again no problems here but I figure you can always bend the bracket with pliers if they make the ramps stick out funny. The hanging mice are a joke, cute but still a joke. The first one didn't even last five minutes before my youngest (2yr) chewed it right off. That was his mission he just sat there and gnawed it off. The second I think made it to 5 days but then the play got dull, I guess, and the mouse had to go. The top perches are more stable than I expected. My youngest is a porky 13lbs and he jumps up there and flops around in play and they don't hardly sway. I was amazed. My other two cats are about 6lbs each and much older (15 and 16yrs). They are not nearly as energetic but they love the height of it. One of them climbs to the top, talks up a storm and has a blast touching the ceiling and looking over curtains. Over all I am very pleased with this purchase. It is giving my youngest someplace to play and not bother the senior citizens who are still unsure why I took in another cat. It doesn't take up as much floor space as I expected and in a small apartment that is a plus. We'll see how it holds up overtime but so far it is a great addition to my home. ... show more

  • HAD IT ALMOST 4 YEARS NOW!!! havent tightened or anything...as good as when i got it and they♡it
Color: Beige
added photo.. took off tall towers...easy tp do.. you just use that top screw to secure on platform.. i did that because my basement apt girl hurt her leg so i decided that they all are 12 n husky.. over 15lb.. so its plenty high without them.. in fact for her and her sis i took the house off and made a little side piece by stapling a cardboard bumper.. it makes a really big roomy surface ... just put a big fluffy towel on it!.. its really very adjustable!! Update.. its been almost 4 years.. still love it.. bought it again for our two new 11 yr old additions.. i like its width and shape especially for our older cats .. as before i left off left two towers and saved as backups it looks better against window if they arent sticking up above curtain and the one on right they tend to go to box to get down.. the left one they were jumping down to pillow i have on floor. . So i kept that as backup.. although i had thought of screwing together with liquid nails.. since the other has survived my fatties for four years ( never even had to tighten) i didnt.. but its an option.. but people please dont let your dogs and kids on it or leaning all over it and then say its not sturdy!!.. If it had lasted a year at 99 it would have been worth it!.. this one was 70.. pure cat joy!! ------------------------------.. .all pieces came and were intact,,,assembly was easy But i did have trouble with 1st assembly piece,, when i screwed legs in they never got tight and i thought Oh No, this is what i was afraid of, almost sent it back, but I and the 3 kitties were so excited that i got pliers and was able to grab hold of the nuts that had come loose, and tighten the legs ( this did rip through the little carpet there & leave them exposed but i thought i will just hot glue some fabric over to smooth out....and in the end i just put a polar fleece blanket in there on top of them which is working fine)...the rest went pretty quick, and though i thought it was gonna be really flimsy, each piece made it sturdier...in the end i opted not to put the last 2 towers on because i put it in front of the slider & it was just too tall for that. It actually looks quite nice with just the right tower, and its plenty of height! I did put on ramps though no one really uses them, but unlike the tower we bought 15 yrs ago ( which was $120 and not as elaborate), this one, because it has platforms on left and right is much safer, whereas the old one we had to take it away because the only way down was to jump or kinda fall off because it was straight up like a totem pole....so though it was a little scary during assembly, the directions were super easy and I am very happy with it!! Great for the price!!! So if you buy it, even if you have a few hiccups like i did, work through them because its well worth it! It will move a little ( which they ALL do anyway, it is a tower after all!), but i dont think it would Ever tip...i have 2- 7 yr old chunkers (16 & 19 lb), and a 1.5 yr old little feral terror lol...the 19 pounder was the first to stuff his chunky but into that top tower, no problem!..they all have run at it full tilt, no prob...the 1 mouse only lasted 20 minutes but it was a well spent 20 minutes of cat joy, and its easy to attach toys to these things anyway, and though its very sturdy, i might use some liquid nails or something to reinforce so i wont have to re-tighten, if we ever move its movable the way it is, or if the price is like this, cheap enough to replace. Excellent for the price and GOOD exercise!! Hope this helps btw, when u use the 2 sided screws and u go too far in and it feels loose, dont panic, just unscrew it a little till its back on threads, better yet put it in only until the treads disappear and dont keep goin....and the colour is light beige but a yellow based beige compared to my carpet but it looks quite nice :) ...and ALL MY kitties are front declawed NO Problem at all!! BEEN 2 years now!!!! HAVENT TIGHTENED IT OR ANYTHING, PLENTY STURDY...BEAUTIFUL PIECE THAT EVERYONE COMMENTS ON AND ALL 3 CATS ARE ON IT EVERY DAY, IF IT FELL APART TOMORROW, I'D IMMEDIATELY BUY ANOTHER!!! THEY LOVE TO RUN UP TO THE TOP OF THE "TOWER OF POWER" AS WE CALL IT EVERYTIME WE ARE NEAR IT...MOST EXERCISE THEY'VE EVER HAD!!...IN FRONT OF SLIDER SO THEY CAN ALL WATCH BIRDS AT FEEDER...DIDNT USE RAMPS AT FIRST BUT LEFT THEM TO MAKE IT MORE STURDY...NOW THEY USE THEM COMING DOWN...WILL UPDATE AGAIN....AND AS FAR AS PEOPLE SAYING CHEAPLY MADE...THEY ALL ARE...BUT THIS HAS BEEN PLENTY STURDY FOR MY DECLAWED CHUNKERS!!! ... show more
