  • I would definitely buy this again
Color: Slate Grey (F2086)
So all in all I would give this a 5/5 rating. It looks very nice in the room and even though my cat is a pretty big dude it holds up well to him traipsing all over it. The cat ABSOLUTELY loves this tree. Hands down his favorite piece of furniture in the house. Now down to the side notes for the people who worry. All in all - I prefer to hold onto my money, but I would definitely buy him this again knowing how nice it is. The material on all of the layers is very soft and the tree itself looks very nice in our living space. I do have to give it a 3/5 in terms of easiness to assemble - assembly itself was absolutely easy, BUT the pieces weren't labeled so there was some tinkering with the instruction sheet to figure out what was what (it would not take a genius to piece this together even without the labels on the different pieces). I would say 4/5 purely because I feel like it needs a slightly heavier or wider base - it does seem to be very stable and has not so much as tipped yet, but it does rock a little if the cat gets a running start to take off up the tree, but again, he is a big guy (not chunky, but large in size) so when he hits it with full zoomies and weighing in at about 12lbs it does rock the tree a little (I say rock because the bottom does not leave the ground, but the upper portions sway on contact (and yes all of the material seems very sturdy, none of the screws have loosened at all). ... show more

  • Low income rentals for SMALLER feline friends!
Color: Beige
Overall, the price is right, but ultimately, you get what you pay for and my fat cats are begging for more! This is a great starter piece for the kitten crowd, or the one to two year old rascals. Nearly every section is on the smaller side. Though, it hadn’t stopped are ginormous cats from calling it their new home..even if their backside hangs off the edge. In terms of sturdiness, I’d say ‘not that great!’ We put it up against a wall on two sides and anchored it further in place with the side of the couch. I’d suggest bolting it to the wall. It’s definitely going to require upkeep and re-tightening every week or two. Again, our cats weigh over 12 pounds each! No way is our extra large tom cat going to find a comfy spot on this thing. Lol! Overall, my boyfriend labels it low income rentals for cats! I’d say he’s about right! Pay an extra $60 and upgrade to the next best thing. This is a temporary holdout for something bigger and better. ... show more

  • The Best So Far
Color: Black/Brown (F2082)
This is my third "tall cat tree" and it is easily the best in spite of being a lot less expensive than the first two. This is just quick and easy to put together. Solid as it needs to be; stable even in the middle of a large room. My cat is a climber. More so than any other cat that has owned me. Not surprisingly, she knew what this was before it was assembled, and supervised the entire process. Her lack of speech is a disguise. ... show more

  • It came with 2 broken pieces I wasn't going to use anyway
Color: Paw Print
I bought this to replace an older version that was worn out. I had my original for several years and most of the twine had came loose. I like the footprint pattern because it helps to hide stains. The first one I had I paid about $50 for and lasted me more than 5 years. This one is double the price. I placed mine in a corner for added stability. I did not attach it to the wall. I always hated the ladders and didn't plan on using them on this one. They are difficult to vacuum around especially the one that goes to the floor. Good thing I wasn't going to use them because BOTH came broken in half. It did not happen during shipment. It was packaged this way. I didn't try to ship it back because I wasn't going to use them anyway. This is very sad because had I wanted to use them it would have been a real disappointment. I suggest if you don't plan on assembling it right away to open the box and look over all the pieces closely. Comparing the 2 versions I had there were likes and dislikes. The 3 triangle perches the cats can lie on were much bigger on this version. That I, and my cats liked a lot. I don't like that the posts aren't completely twined top to bottom and instead have that paw print cloth partly on them. That's a waste of space cats can use for scratching their claws. I like the boxes on these are made of wood where the last version had cloth that hung over the sides. But the top box is much smaller than it used to be. That's where my cats lie the most. I was afraid they wouldn't use it. They do squeeze into it but they hang out and it's much shorter. I wish they hadn't shrank the size of that box. The inside of the box sides do not have any fabric on them and are bare wood. Only the bottom where the cat lays and the outside have cloth. That will make it easier to vacuum but will absorb vomit and stain if that happens.. Realize if you get this it will need to be vacuumed. I vacuum mine weekly and get quite a bit hair off. A vacuum with a long hose and a power attachment works well. The triangles are high up so you will need a vacuum you can lift high and something to stand on to do it. Realize the top triangle perch is about 6' tall when assembled. WARNING: The mouse on the string is WAY TOO LONG and DANGEROUS. Surprisingly I heard one of my cats screaming a couple days after assembled and he had wrapped the string around one of his toes and couldn't get free. I had to set a panicking, screaming cat free while trying not to get bit. It has now stretched out even more to over 6" long. The string is heavy duty and I'm afraid while I'm gone a cat might get strangled. Give it a hard pull and you'll see it doesn't break off easy and would hold the weight of your cat by it's neck. On the the first cat tree I bought, the cats ripped off the toy themselves a couple months later. I have cut this one off and I'm going to put a break away piece in and reattach it. Think about if you really want to take a chance with that. I saw another customer complain it had caught her cat's tail and she found it stranded and screaming. That being said, it really should only be 2" long at most and maybe a break away design for safety. If you move it any real distance you will need to carefully take it apart and reassemble. Don't move this house to house or up the stairs without taking it apart. It's made of particle board and will not survive. That's common sense. Label your small pieces in bags. Maybe save the instructions and think ahead. The directions are well written. The pieces to put it together are in well labeled packages. That makes it putting it together much easier. All the pieces are not in the same bag so you don't have to go on a hunt and seek mission figuring what fits with what to assemble. It comes with an Allen wrench (hex key) that fits the pieces so if you loose it just get a set. Also, over time it will begin to loosen from your cat climbing on it so you will need to keep tightening it up. You might want to keep this tool and label what it's for if you don't have a set of Allen wrenches. Overall I find it acceptable. The smaller top box, the broken pieces and the dangerous hanging mouse are my main concerns. Know what to expect if you buy this thing. ... show more

  • Cute and fits large cats!
Color: Beige/Black
I love this cat tree. Honestly, I was so terrified that it wouldn't look good with our decor, and had buyer's remorse..that I kept that big ugly box, unopened in my bedroom..just to avoid any disappointment! Finally, I spoke to someone who said I should just assemble it. It is so cute..and it is like I pictured when ordering it..so I don't know why I was so worried. I was scared the beige and black cute classic "Hamburglar" look, was a mistake. But, my 2 cats love it. And, my large 14 pd muscular cat hangs out on the very top, podium, easily! The Torti girl shown, is only 9 pds. We had the slightly smaller, all beige one previously, so I was scared about adding the additional color..just overthinking, as I obviously chose this new color scheme for a reason! Anyway, my cats are 3 and 2. I also have an old lady cat, who's a Siamese..she won't dare touch anything those hoodlum cats touch. So, can't judge that. But, you should buy it! And, put it together..give it a chance.. don't be like me.. stepping over a huge box out of fear. It's cute, and your cats will love it. ... show more
