  • Great buy
I’m not a professional musician. I’ll just give my opinion. This saxophone is beautiful. I bought it for my 11 year old daughter. This is her first year in middle school band. She loves her saxophone. She practices every evening after school. The sound is clean and strong. Like I said I’m no musician, but the music sounds great to me. Will definitely be buying another for my younger daughter in 2 years. ... show more

  • Solid for the money.
Color: Antique Finish PR4
I played from middle school until senior year. Im in my 30s now, and didn’t play until I bought this horn to get my feet wet. My old horn was a $2,500 Yamaha. Not sure what model, but it was nice, and honestly the tone of this instrument sounds fine comparatively. My only complaints are; the cork pieces that support the keys are not cut precisely, the pads are inexpensive and will stick if you don’t dry them after playing, and the c# sounds a tad flat. I’ve gotta say though, after I got my embouchure back into playing shape, and my muscle memory came back in my fingers this cheap sax really started playing nicely for me. If you put a fat reed (I’m playing a 3 now) on a decent mouthpiece (using a Selmer C* for now) I believe this Alto will provide a tone that’s indistinguishable from a superior horn to the untrained ear. Chinese assembly line saxophones have really come a long way since I was a kid. The technology is there to make these horn serious competitors to other entry level instruments. The fact that they look awesome is a huge plus too. I got the antique finish on mine. It feels and looks like a very unique and quality horn. I periodically jam with some friends and when I upgrade I plan on taking this horn with me to gigs. If something happens it’s inexpensive enough that replacement won’t break the bank. Don’t bother with the mouth piece this thing comes with though. I could hardly get the one that came with mine to play. It’s worth it to do some research and buy a quality mouth piece. TLDR: after playing this horn for 3 months, I think it’s a real bargain. Sounds, plays, and looks far better than I anticipated. ... show more

  • Worth Every Penny!
Color: Antique Finish PR3
For the price, this sax is AMAZING! I've had people ask about it because of the design AND how well it plays! The extras aren't woth noting because it's all about the sound quality. It's easily on par with intermediate saxes, and as a professional musician I've had nothing but compliments on its clarity. I use a Rico M5 mouthpiece and the sound is bright but flexible enough to hit mellow, dark tones when needed. It is somehow of high enough quality to excel professionally. ... show more

  • Review Glory Alto Saxophone
The media could not be loaded. I just got my Glory silver/gold keys E Flat Alto Saxophone in the mail today. It came very nicely packaged everything pictured in the description. I cannot believe how great this horn sounds! I previously had a professional sax that I paid over $2,000. This one was just over $200 and it sounds BETTER! Even with the mouthpiece that came with it. I am totally blown away at what I got for the price! There are so many colors I might just go back and pick up a couple more. I attached a video so you can hear it for yourself. The high notes are super easy and it has a nice light airy feel. The lower notes great too. I can't say enough about this saxophone. It would be great if you are an expert to have a spare all the way to a student just learning and for this price moms and dad could definitely afford this for their kids. ... show more

  • Looks nice, but has issues with sound quality (low notes).
Color: laquer
Some low notes do not always sound on our instrument. I read a lot of reviews about this saxophone and was sure that it will be okay for the beginner child. When we received it, it didn't sound very good (I would say bad). Many people wrote to replace mouthpiece in their reviews. We thought that the problem would be solved if we replaced the mouthpiece with a good one. I bought new mouthpiece Yamaha 4C. My son tried and he said it is much better with new mouthpiece. It was May, almost end of the school year and he had rental saxophone at that moment, so he didn't play on new sax until September. He tried to play this instrument for two months this school year, but in the end we decided to resolve this issue, because he tired when he tries to play low notes . Today I left our saxophone at the music store/shop. I am not sure, can they fix it or not. Anyway, it will take up to two weeks to get it back. I was going to rent another saxophone. But in the middle of the school year, it’s difficult to find a saxophone to rent. As my child needs instrument every other day of the week, probably I need to buy another saxophone from store or marketplace. Of course, I will check with music teacher first if they have some extra instrument for two weeks.. I will update this review when I get back our saxophone from the shop. UPDATE: November 26, 2023 It took almost two weeks to get back our saxophone from the music shop. We borrowed some sax from our friends during these 2 weeks. The music shop has done some job to fix the problem we had (with low notes). Now it plays better, no issues with low notes. Now it plays same as other saxophones we previously rented. But I spent some time, efforts and extra money to fix it. Anyway, I changed my rating from 2 stars to 4 stars. ... show more
