For the price, this sax is AMAZING! I've had people ask about it because of the design AND how well it plays! The extras aren't woth noting because it's all about the sound quality. It's easily on par with intermediate saxes, and as a professional musician I've had nothing but compliments on its clarity. I use a Rico M5 mouthpiece and the sound is bright but flexible enough to hit mellow, dark tones when needed. It is somehow of high enough quality to excel professionally.

I recently bought a Glory Alto Sax for evaluation purposes. It arrived well packaged. I unboxed it and began playing (using my own mouthpiece and reed). The horn had a nice tone and played easily up and down the scale. It spoke easily down to low Bb and up to F#. This sax has been advocated for beginners thru intermediates and I wholeheartedly agree. Students can learn all the notes and play whatever they need to. until it's time to advanced to a pro model. All of the keys are where they should be and function properly. I can't imagine a student picking up bad habits because of the horn. If I had a con it would be that the sax is a bit heavy and clunky, But then I realize that this sax is under $300. This is easily affordable if a parent or music teacher is not sure if their student is going to continue. Highly recommended.

I received the Professional 3 model today for my son who is starting band in 6th grade. I have played sax for over 20 years and I just didn't want to pay the high rental prices so I thought I would give this a shot to see if it is really a decent sax or not. It was received as stated and there were a few blemishes from the assembly process that I can see, few excess glue areas and a few small areas where the laquer had chipped but I think that was from people handling them for packaging and shipping. Also the inside of the bell was barely covered in the laquer and you can easily see the area where it sopped and goes to the base color. Overall it was in very good condition when it arrived. The opening for the neck was very tight and I had to play with it for quite a bit of time to get it somewhat loosened. It aso had a pad saver already inside the sax which was nice. The cleaning cloth it came with is very basic and a but rough so I would recommend getting a larger cleaning cloth that is also a bit softer. Playing- It actually sounded quite nice. I originally used my own mouthpiece and reed ( Meyer 6* and superial 3) and had to blow a bit more than I do on my normal horn. The sound and tone was crisp and full throughout. Once I tuned in the mouthpiece it played very well actually. I had thought about buying a Yamaha mouthpiece to go with it but thought I would give the basic one that it came with a try. It is the same 4 opening and was extremely easy to get a nice vibrant sound from. Holding the tone steady is a bit harder with it but that is just due to the opening area. It played very easily though and for a middle school kid just learning how to play that is what you want. If you want to buy a different mouthpiece go for it but I think the one it comes with will do a beginner just fine. Overall grade B+ For the price this sax actually plays just as well if not better than most of the other beginner/intermediate saxes out there except for the YAS 23. We will see how it holds up long term and I may update this review and based on what I see. If you are hesitating on buying this for your child for school like I was, go for it it is a very very good deal versus renting long term.

I am very glad I purchased this Saxophone. For the price, this saxophone is hard to beat. The saxophone has a good finish and looks great. The saxophone I received is made very well and sounds great. All the low, mid and High notes play without problems. I would buy another one if something happened to mine.

It’s a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Priced fairly. It’s been over 30 years since I stopped playing bari sax. This is an excellent way to “get my chops back” & dust out some cobwebs. I began on alto. It’s only fitting I restart with an alto. Pads are fine. Sound quality is as good as it can be with my rusty behind playing it. I’d say this would be an awesome reasonably priced alto sax. ♥️

Great buy for the beginner. This is a quality instrument well worth the investment for a beginner. There are obvious differences between this and $2000 sax. But if you're a student or just learning, you will not know the difference. It's great for gigs until you can afford a professional sax.
