Glory Alto Sax - Great!

I recently bought a Glory Alto Sax for evaluation purposes. It arrived well packaged. I unboxed it and began playing (using my own mouthpiece and reed). The horn had a nice tone and played easily up and down the scale. It spoke easily down to low Bb and up to F#. This sax has been advocated for beginners thru intermediates and I wholeheartedly agree. Students can learn all the notes and play whatever they need to. until it's time to advanced to a pro model. All of the keys are where they should be and function properly. I can't imagine a student picking up bad habits because of the horn. If I had a con it would be that the sax is a bit heavy and clunky, But then I realize that this sax is under $300. This is easily affordable if a parent or music teacher is not sure if their student is going to continue. Highly recommended.

Great beginner Sax

I only took the star off for missing Rhine stones. Other than that it's my first Sax and I love it. Got a lot of compliments on the finish gunmetal look is very unique

Got the urge to learn the Saxophone? Great for a first Sax!

I bought this Sax because I didn't want to spend a small fortune to try to learn an new instrument and I felt the price on this one was fair. I did what research I could on Glory Saxophones and decided to take a chance on it. I really like the look of the Gun Metal finish, It gives it a Steampunk kind of look. I'm waiting for the books I ordered to start learning how to play this but I have put it together and made it toot a few notes. So far I think this is more than just a fair deal for a Saxophone, I think it's a great deal. Again I don't know much about Saxophones but it looks to me to be well made and I have been able to get a good sounding tone with it. It comes with everything you need to start including a spit wand and 11 reeds, a decent fitted soft case. I didn't spend some extra for a Légère Reed and a pull through rag for cleaning it. I am excited to start playing some tunes with this thing and once I get some ability with it if my opinion on it changes I will update my review otherwise don't think twice about picking this up if you need/want a Saxophone.

Worth Every Penny!

For the price, this sax is AMAZING! I've had people ask about it because of the design AND how well it plays! The extras aren't woth noting because it's all about the sound quality. It's easily on par with intermediate saxes, and as a professional musician I've had nothing but compliments on its clarity. I use a Rico M5 mouthpiece and the sound is bright but flexible enough to hit mellow, dark tones when needed. It is somehow of high enough quality to excel professionally.

It’s a beautiful sax

It’s a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Priced fairly. It’s been over 30 years since I stopped playing bari sax. This is an excellent way to “get my chops back” & dust out some cobwebs. I began on alto. It’s only fitting I restart with an alto. Pads are fine. Sound quality is as good as it can be with my rusty behind playing it. I’d say this would be an awesome reasonably priced alto sax. ♥️
