This is not very easy to assemble but doable. To fit the box which is the red and black piece that is cardboard into the plastic bedskirt is very tricky because the box has slits that are not very long that you’re supposed to stick into the bed skirt and it’s very difficult. I had to have a friend help me tape the slits onto the plastic bedskirt so that it would stay. the lamps are super cute and they work so that’s one of the reasons I gave it a four-star. It’s battery operated and you just turn the base of the lamp clockwise to get it to turn on. You can put things into the drawers. The pillow and blanket match and are really cute. Two regular size dolls fit on this bed. It was the only bed that I could find that was a decent price and intriguing. But I think it should be like $13 because you have to kind of treat it Gingerly. I work with kids in a mental health clinic and sometimes they can be rough on toys.

It's pretty much what you'd expect. I like it but Dont. Wished the actual mattress for the bed was plastic and clicked on. It's cardboard and just sits. Else wise it's pretty darn cute for what it is.

We just ordered this and it arrived over the weekend. There was no way to hook up a battery to make the lamps work. There was a place for the battery but no metal or wires to make a contact and no bulbs to light up anyways. All of that was left out of ours. Otherwise it was as described but it clearly says in the write up that it works by battery and it cannot as the one that we were sent possibly do that. The overall look is cute but it should not say it lights up when it does not.

Purchased 2 of these for my three-year old granddaughters. It took longer to figure out how to do the first one, since the directions weren't the greatest, but I got it together in about 15-20 minutes, including the nightstands with drawers. If you are giving as a gift, I would definitely recommend to put it together beforehand. I took the extra time to add Elmer's glue in spots. The most time involved for me was sewing a new bedspread and pillow and "made" a mattress by using the cardboard box they gave you and putting cotton batting and a piece of cotton material on it. I glued this to the cardboard. I then glued this cardboard mattress to the bed so it didn't come apart and to give the whole bed some sturdiness. You do have to spend some time and ingenuity to get this so it isn't rickety and comes apart, which I found to be the criticism of most people. When finished I was very pleased with this bedroom set. I did put some money into the lace bedspread, but when finished, it looked great and elegant. See picture.
