As several other reviewers have said, this set was frustrating. It was difficult to put together and needed glue and/or tape in places it wasn't supposed to. There were SEVERAL pieces missing and some pieces included that weren't pictured anywhere on the box or in the instructions so we had to guess at what they were supposed to be. The little cheese slices for the deli sandwiches weren't even yellow, just white squares. We used a yellow sharpie to make the cheese yellow. It was supposed to come with little zip lock baggies you put stickers on to resemble deli meat and cheese packages, but they were not there. We bought some from the craft section at Wal-mart (the little baggies you put earrings and such in), and that worked out fine. It was supposed to come with something to resemble bags you put produce in before weighing it, but didn't. Just an empty bag roll. No big deal. It was supposed to come with little fruits and veggies to put in the tiny plastic containers to represent plastic boxed produce, but didn't. There were enough other little fruits and vegetables that it really doesn't matter, but still not what I paid for. All in all, my daughter will still have fun playing with the set and the little pieces. She enjoys it, but I would not recommend this product to anyone. ... show more

This is a nice set, and my daughter plays with it all the time, but it was a little difficult for her to help put together.

    • Items advertised not same as received
Missing items and stickers. You don't get exactly what is advertised. Colors and actual products differ. That didn't bother my child at all. But the missing pieces did. We couldn't make all the little sandwiches. We didn't get the cutting board tray thing for them. We didn't get some decorative stickers. Or even some of the food items. This falls apart easily with 7 year old doll play. My child also can't put it back together by themselves when the stands come apart. I have to click things back into place. Hard for little hands to do. Needs coordination and dexterity not quite there with 5-8year old range. Directions are only for a couple of the pieces, others you just guess since they aren't items that are on the box or in the listing. The little set is cute but I've seen similar at target for the same price with more grocery items and you don't have to put it together. ... show more

The instructions provided are horrible. Nothing is numbered on the actual piece. Stickers aren’t labeled. The instructions don’t give any way to identify things except for approx shape. I’ve never been so annoyed with putting a toy together. Literally took me an hour to figure it all out and I’m not an idiot at all. It also doesn’t provide instruction for all pieces so you’re left trying to figure out what goes to what. And I have nothing to put the cheese/meat stickers on. Nothing. ... show more

Opened the box, which was well packed. Contents were intact and complete. I haven't put it together yet. I will be usung this set in conjunction with other sets to make a more complete grocery store.     • Lots of Stuff, Hours of Fun
This comes with alot of stuff and you have to put EVERYTHING together. Do yourself a favor if you are giving this as a gift. Take all of the stuff out first then wrap the box. Then put everything together with glue (they easily fall apart but they are fine with glue). Present the child with the box to unwrap then bring out the finished product so they can play immediately. It will be brutal to try and get these things together while the kid is dying to play with it. I used glue dots to get everything to stay together as well as get the cash register to stay on the counter. They will have hours of enjoyment with this set. ... show more
