I ordered these shoes based on the majority of reviews saying they were comfortable to stand in. I thought if I don’t like them when I try them on I’ll send them back so I took a chance. A little back story: My job involves standing and comfortable shoes are a must. I used to wear Dansko clogs and I would still wear them but they are made differently now with no cushioning and poor arch support. Dansko sold the company so that explains the inferior quality now. Then I switched over to OnCloud touted by nurses as being really comfortable to stand in for 12 hour shifts. I probably would have continued to purchase them but they only lasted six months. When I pay $179.00 for a pair of sneakers I want them to last longer than six months. So, I started searching on Amazon and found this brand. They were comfy right out of the gate. The arch support is pretty good and the overall cushioning of the sole is pretty good. The fit is very good as well. I wear a size 8 and went up half a size to 8 1/2 medium. So far so good. I’ve worn them for about two weeks and they seem to be very comfortable. Even if they only last 6 months, I don’t care because the price point is inexpensive enough that if I have to get two pairs a year, I’m still ahead. I bought the faux patent leather like lace up style. I’ve gotten compliments and one person thought they were Doc Martens. And lest I forget, your feet will perspire in these. I will rerevuew in 6 months to let you know if they lasted 6 months. ... show more

I purchased my shoes a few months ago and I tried them on for the first time today and never made it outside because the back heel height of the shoe is so low my heel keep slipping out of the shoe and the left shoe velcro that supposed to secure your foot inside the shoe does not stay attached so the shoe comes off your foot. ... show more

    • Comfy/affordable/tricky Velcro situation

UPDATE: I've changed this to 4-stars. Regarding the velcro, a previous reviewer said that if you're able set the velcro where you want it and just slide your feet in (and never undo them them again), it works. I've been doing that for a month and it does work, the shoes haven't come undone and the strap has stayed-put. Although doing this is breaking down the backside of the shoes, they're still the most comfortable I've found and that includes high-dollar German shoes special-fitted to me from a retail store. I have a bone spur on top of my right big toe joint, arthritis, narrow feet, pronation, have no muscle or fat on bottom of feet, and a tendency toward plantar fasciitis (pretend Rosanne Rosanna Danna just read that (ha)). Other than my Altra wide toe box super stable sneakers, these are the best shoes I have that address (and are light enough to) all these stupid conditions. Original -- I’ve been looking for months for an affordable solution for shoes to handle multiple issues I’m having with my feet. I read previous reviews here about the Velcro problem but didn’t see it on all reviews, so took a chance since these are (to me) affordable enough to do so and everyone was raving about the comfort. Points: 1) very comfortable! (However, if worn without socks or with no-show socks, the strap on left foot rubs top of foot by end of day so badly I keep sneakers or pair of socks with me if it’s going to be a long day…comfort over cute, right?). 2) although the black ones are a bit ”Herman Munster-esque” :-) , I’ve gotten compliments on them and I personally find them fun to wear, so they are cute to me. 3) price is right! I need multiple shoes to solve for the foot issues I have and also dress for many different types of on-your-feet events at work (dresses, slacks, etc. can’t always wear sneakers sadly)… it’s hard to shell out $150-$400 bucks each for specialty dress shoes. These pretty much solve that. 4) Velcro. Wah-waaahh. Haven’t had these a month and like others have said, the Velcro is starting to fray and not hold so well. Have experimented with the angle, how I squeeze it together when fastening, how tight or loose to my foot, but it now always feels like at any second one or both are going to fly off my foot. Also, there doesn’t quite seem to be enough Velcro, like there should be more on the top strap to accommodate a narrower foot. I’ve even started reading about Velcro and wonder if they would flip the sides the Velcro is on (what’s on the shoe vs what is on the strap) …would that help it last longer because of how it would “latch” differently (?), or if they should give up, switch to buckles and charge just a little more. Don’t know. Either way, they are the most comfortable “not sneakers” I’ve found, so my husband may try to add new Velcro for me or a real button or … something. I need these to work. This is the 2nd. Pair of work shoes I have ordered from this Brand. I find them very comfortable and great Arch support. They are true to size, and a Great Work Shoe for Healthcare workers and for those who is on their feet for those 12hr. Shifts. The quality is also Great, Give them A try!

The media could not be loaded. Burnished Red, size 8 Super comfortable ortho shoes kind of styled like Creepers. Good size, yes they are slightly loose but with socks and compression sleeves it will be good. Nice ortho insert for arch support. Can dress up or down.
