The recorder is a pretty blue color, makes good sound and has a nice carrying case for it. I like that it comes with a cleaner too. My kids have so much fun playing it and it is the perfect size for them. I wish there was a guide like so many children's instruments come with to introduce play but that isn't a deal breaker. It functions just as a recorder should and is a great learning tool.

When my grandbaby comes to visit this summer, I want him to keep up with his music. So I told him I was going to order him an 8 hole German style flute. He said, “Granny, I already know how to play the flute.” I told him, “Okay then, play it”, and he sure did! Now I’m not sure what a recorder is exactly, but maybe he knows. Either way, he really liked the color of the flute. To be honest, it doesn’t feel like a toy at all, it actually feels like something that will last him a while. I also like that it came with a case and a little cleaner, so he can keep it in good shape and store it away when he’s not using it.

My son is in second grade and has recently begun playing recorder in his music class. Rather than order the same recorder that every other kid has, we elected to buy a recorder that is easier to identify because of the bright coloring and bag. This recorder fit the bill and was very moderately priced at the time of ordering. It plays the exact same as his classmates' recorders but is easy to identify as is. Recommended for anyone wanting a uniquely colored recorder for their children to play in school.
