  • Great training shoe
Size: 12 Color: Black (2023)
I use these so far to ride a stationary bike. They work very well for that. The fit is great. I have a wide foot. I can wear an 11 wide or a 12 regular and the size 12 fits very nicely. They are light weight, have a very nice look to them. I would definitely buy these again. I am looking forward to trying them out in my road bike soon. So far, the one draw back I have noticed is the sole has a small amount of flex. I only notice this when I stand up and pedal hard (sprinting or climbing hard). It doesn’t bother me, but I know some want a very stiff sole to avoid power loss when pedaling. I have no regrets in this purchase so far. I have spent more $$ on inferior shoes in the past. Despite being shipped from Italy, they arrived very quickly (maybe a week). Just be careful that you have international shipping for free, otherwise it might cost upwards of $35 for shipping - mine was free with Prime. ... show more

  • Comfortable shoes with style!
Size: 10.5 Color: White (2023)
Shoes are comfortable. Sole is stiff and stable for spinning. Works well with standard clips. Three Velcro closures are easy to use and stays put. I like the white color and clean style.

  • GIRO Stylus - Old Fashioned But...
Size: 11 Color: Bright Red (2023)
I have a pair of Giro Cadet shoes which, after I replaced the flat, cheesy insole (with the Specialized (blue) insole), is a very good shoe - stiff soled, padded well and comfortable. As a lark, I bought a pair of the Stylus model which was deeply discounted. It is supposedly a beginner's clipless shoe. But, the fabric, construction and sole stiffness seem to be identical to the Cadets. The obvious difference is that the Cadet uses a dialup lace system and the Stylus uses 3 staps secured by velcro. BTW, the Stylus also comes with the same thin, cheesy worthless insole as the Cadet. After putting a Specialized insole in it, I put the Stylus on one foot and the Cadet on bv the other and vigorously watched a one hour TV show. Both feet remained comfortable and the amount of heel play was the same. I'm guessing that for $50-70 less, the wearer of a Stylus shoe won't notice the difference except on his credit card bill. Neither shoe gets you into a pro-racing shoe where an extra $200 will get you lighter, stiffer and somewhat more efficient power transfer. But the pro-racers don't shop Amazon for their shoes either! ... show more

  • 4.5 * Very good, but take some breaking in
Size: 12 Color: Bright Red (2023)
I got these shoes to use with my new Peloton, with an eye toward maybe using them on my road bike in the future. They run a little snug. I was concerned I should have gone a half size up when I first got them. Being a veteran of breaking in hockey skates, I decided to stick with them for a while, and I'm glad I did. I switched out the standard pedals on the Peloton with Shimano pedals so my wife could use her spin shoes with the bike. The Giros can handle both, which is one of the reasons I got them. I tried the Deltas first, and they were fine. I'm too new to this to notice any difference between the two clip types. I did notice that for the first three weeks, I needed to tighten the cleats on the shoes before EVERY ride. I thought maybe something was wrong with the receivers on the shoe, but after three weeks they've been staying snug. I still check before each ride, but no problems for the last two weeks. I don't have wide feet, but the shoes are a little narrow at the ball of my foot. Using them for a hour a day has mostly solved this problem for me. Overall I'd say the shoes run just a touch small. I bought the same size I normally get for shoes and wish I had gone a half size up. I think that would have given my toes some room to wiggle without making the shoes sloppy on my feet. Impossible to know without trying though. Overall, I'm really happy with them. I'm a big guy and sole stiffness was a bit of a concern going in. I've done some hill climbs out of the saddle where I'm really pushing, and I can feel the sole holding up under my foot. There is no flex at all. I don't feel like I'm losing any energy in the transfer from my foot to the pedal. I'm very pleased with the performance. Granted, I'm a novice here so take that for what it's worth. I've been riding for about an hour a day for 5 weeks now using these shoes. They've only gotten better as they've gotten broken in, and I better understand them. They may not have been the beginners' shoe, but I'm happy with them. I bought on Giro's reputation for high quality bike equipment and I've not been disappointed. ... show more

  • Just okay for the money
Size: 11 Color: Bright Red (2023)
These fall in that awkward middle ground for value. It's almost worth spending a little more, and getting better quality. Or spending less and getting pure value. I don't regret the purchase, but not totally thrilled either. They'll do.

  • Solid beginner shoes.
Size: 11 Color: White (2023)
My first pair of cycling shoes. These are great shoes but I've learned about my wide feet again - if you wear pointy shoes these will be great, otherwise expect a little break-in time. Straps, mounts, construction 10/10. Bet I'll have these for a few more seasons. Worth the money

Very good product. Have my doubts on the duration of the Velcro
