  • 200 miles later and I still like them.
Size: 9.5 Color: Olive/Gum (2021)
I don't cartwheel over products. The more expensive the item is, the more I expect from it, so the less I fetishize it. I might lose my mind over a $20 flashlight that turns tents bright as daylight, but $150 cycling shoes better hold up, be comfortable, and go the distance. These definitely do. The BOA is sturdy and so much nicer than the ratchet ties on my old Specialized. The velcro across the bridge is a little short for my average feet, and I feel that they should have left it long so that it can be trimmed. The backs of these are fragile. I can tell. Don't be a dummy and kick them off or do that thing where you put one of your feet on the back of the other to pry them off. You'll ruin them in no time. Also ensure they're adequately loose when putting them on. That should keep them going for quite a while. For the folks saying that they're not stiff enough, that's ridiculous. They're plenty stiff. If you want stiffer in a mountain biking shoe, you'll be hard pressed. Cleats stay in place, shoes aren't too hot, width is OK, and the BOA performs. Good shoe, worth the price so far. As with all cycling shoes, I ended up with a half-size larger than my usual shoe size. I wear a 9 in Clarks, Sanuk, Ariat, Saucony, and Thursday Boots, and the 9.5 (43 in UK) fits perfect. ... show more

  • mostly great, but flawed cleat placement
Size: 13.5 Color: Olive/Gum (2021)
These are very well made, breathable, easy to get on and off, and mostly comfortable. But they have one flaw. The slots for the cleat screws cant slide far enough forward, so the cleats are about half inch behind the ball of your foot, and that degrades pedal comfort, pedal power, and range of motion. The slots need to be moved a half inch further forward. Other shoes i own from Louis Garneau have the slots in the right place (half inch further forward), so the clips can mount right under the ball of your foot. ... show more

  • Comfortable and functional
Size: 9 Color: Black (2023)
These are my first clipless shoes and these are very comfortable and the build quality is exquisite

  • Nice fit, looks good and feels great
Size: 10.5 Color: Portaro Grey (2023)
This shoe fits well and is true to size. They are appropriately stiff when pedaling but comfortable to walk in. They look great too.

  • nice fit and ratchet retention system solid
Size: 9.5 Color: Olive/Gum (2021)
Its been many years since I purchased a new pair of mountain bike shoes. I was skeptical of the ratchet retention system on these, but must admit it is really nice. Fast and comfortable.

  • Fit is good and the shoes are comfortable.
Size: 10.5 Color: Black (2023)
The insole is a thin flat piece of foam, I guess if your foot is perfectly flat no problem. I need some arch support so I replaced with a insole and after the first ride all is well. Time will tell if they hold up. I am a size 10 and bought 44.

  • Not bad but not great.
Size: 9.5 Color: Black (2023)
They are decent shoes for a mellow ride. The Boa doesn’t hold your foot in as well as a ratchet type. The sole is a little flexy and not stiff as my last gyro’s. Over all there not bad.

  • Order larger than Normal
Size: 12 Color: Olive/Gum (2021)
The shoes are comfortable. I normally wear a size 11. Based on many reviews, I order a size 12. They fit quite comfortably.
