The skates are as described. They’re pretty and fun, comfortable and well-made, and provide excellent stability for beginners. My daughter loves how easy they are to put on and you can use them for multiple sizes. Plus the wheels light up! She put them on and started skating around the house - until I told her she couldn’t use them in the house.

I love these being adjustable since kids' feet can grow so quickly but unfortunately that leads to a few problems. The very first time trying these out the white size adjustment button popped out of one of the skates and I'm struggling to get it back in (plus I don't know if any other pieces got lost or if it's just the push button and internal spring) so now these aren't really adjustable. Hopefully most skates don't have this issue but since they're adjustable that means it's a mechanism that can fail. Because just the toe portion of the shoe part of the skate slides if you have it set to the largest size the toe stop ends up really far back under the ball of the foot so it's hard to use effectively. For kids just learning to skate it may not really bother them but for more experienced skaters it's hard to adjust to and can end up tripping them. The skates otherwise feel really solid with great fit adjustments and good ankle support. And the light up wheels are very fun. I think this is still a good skate overall for kids who are just learning and may not stick with it so you can get multiple sizes for occasional use without buying a lot of pairs. But for more serious skaters they'll want the toe stop in a more ideal spot.

Our 6yo has been attached to her new skates from the moment she saw them. As often as possible, she wants to roller skate… well, continue learning to roller skate. Even when she falls, she has this adorable silly smile on her face, and we can tell she’s having a ball. I have taken hundreds of pictures of her skating and in almost every one, you can just see her beaming with joy. Given that the skates can adjust to larger sizes and she is currently at the smallest size it goes, she will likely have them for a little minute yet. Maneuvering the skates from one size to another is super simple and physically and mentally untaxing. You simply push the button in at the front of the skates, and gently pull the toe outward; they will slide right into the next size up and continue to do so until the button is no longer being pressed. Our minds are blown by the quality of these. The plastic is very strong and can be battered with minimal scratching. The cute light up wheels are bright, colorful, vibrant as they can easily be seen in the daytime. Even the padding on the inside of the skates is impressive. Her feet are protected by a good ¼” of padding 360° around not only her feet and ankles, but also up her calves until the rim of the skates; the skates themselves are not only protective with thick, durable plastic but also protect her calves/shins ¼-1/3 of the way up. This makes it extremely difficult to roll one’s ankle and helps to ensure the muscles and ligaments/tendons do not get overly strained in an injury or just from skating. The rollerblades are made from quality materials and the design is well thought out. I do suggest, given the type of design that it is, to make sure that they are always worn snuggly fit. When the skates are designed to protect so much, if they are worn loosely or just ‘kind of snug’, the user will likely sustain injury if they fall because the skate is being worn incorrectly. In order to protect the user the way it was designed to, it truly does NEED to be worn snug. Not tight, but snug (as soon as there is no ‘play’ with moving the skate on the user, latch it into place.) I am super impressed with these, if you couldn’t tell, and our daughter is thrilled to pieces over them. She is on the spectrum and does have sensitivities to being touched or having pressure put certain places. She has worn these for 2+ hours without any issues; the only reason she even took them off was due to dinner being done.) Anything that can keep a smile on her face and keep her giggling in delight, is a win for us. The price point is affordable for what you are getting, which is essentially up to 3 more growth spurts of their feet. Beginner or intermediate and beyond, these skates are phenomenal for them.
