Nice clear numbers. It's very small though so I don't really think it's for children or beginners. It is also not 9x12. It's more like 8x11.5 if that matters to you.

Absolutely loved this! The paint was great quality and as someone who has never painted, I think it was quite manageable! Some areas where confusing or could use better instructions with the numbers but over all loved it!

Our first paint by numbers kit and we bought two of these. Really good option if you're just starting out. Nice relaxing way to spend a couple of hours. Priced well. Wish the brushes were of better quality but that's to be expected.

This was my first paint by numbers. This painting is great for beginners who love a challenge or for intermediate painters. Can be mildly frustrating with very small lines of painting to work around. I had to buy another set of small paint brushes because the ones it came with had uneven hairs on the brush. In addition, some areas did not have numbers, was able to guess by the picture though. Somewhat misleading Overall, good relaxing experience and soothing. Very rewarding afterward. This took me a few weeks while working on it a few times each week. My tip that worked for me: Start top to bottom, paint the background (black, number 15) after everything is complete. ... show more

I've never done a paint by number where there wasn't a printed picture with the numbers. They are printed on the canvas of course, but I like to be able to go back and double check once I've painted areas. Sometimes there was a line of separation but not a 2nd number. Looking at a template or direction sheet would allow you to go back and see if that's what is really intended. Why have a line if the same color is going right next to it? I just really found the lack of a direction sheet and picture an annoyance. The paints were fine. The canvas is ok although the wood pieces that it's attached to, push against the canvas and is leaving lines on the front. A little disappointed in the lack of professional quality. But it was the right size and colors I needed so I will complete and it and hopefully use it. ... show more

I was skeptical to buy the mountain, because it was my first time painting with a color by number canvas. But, let me tell you rn that this was so much fun to do, AND it looked beautiful at the end. One thing that I didn’t really like is how two of the colors (8 and 9) looked really similar, but it still turned out well in the end. I don’t know how it’s like with the other paintings, but one recommendation is to do a double layer, because you can kinda see the numbers through one layer of paint. Other than that, this is definately something you should buy if you’re looking for a fun or easy way to paint.
