Kids were 2&4 and the time of gifting this to them. Loved it! My 4 year old had specifically wanted a robot toy. It is pretty small. And loud. I put a sticker on the top of his head (where the speaker is) prior to gifting which helped a bit. Does not work on carpet.

My 4 and 6 year olds LOVE this thing! It's super easy to drive and that little thing is FAST! It's pretty sturdy too as they have driven it off the table a couple times and it still works as normal. The ONLY downside is this thing is NOISY with no volume control. Kids don't care, mom and dad do!

I purchase three of these robots back in late summer for my sons’ Christmas presents and never opened them until Christmas morning. The robots were very intuitive for my kids (ages 4-7) to play with and they loved them! My middle son’s yellow robot, however, only moved one of its wheels, causing the robot to turn in circles. I messaged the seller (on Christmas), who was prompt and immediately offered to send a new robot even though it was way past the 30 day return policy! And I didn’t even need to return the defective one! I added that if they could send it in green this time, that would be awesome, since my son has changed his favorite color since I purchased the first robot. Imagine all of our delight when, three days later, a package shows up with a GREEN robot! It works good as new, and my son didn’t have to wait long to enjoy his new best friend! The media could not be loaded. This has been a fun toy for our kids ranging from 12 years old to 1 years old. The robot reminds us a lot of the robot “Wally” if you have a Wally loving kid or even if you don’t they would still love this. The robot goes forwards and backwards, left and right, and makes sounds as you move him. Three is also a demo button where he will do a few tricks on his own. The sounds that he makes can’t be controlled, but there is also a switch for the sound on the bottom of the remote that turns the sound off and on so that when he gets annoying you can switch the sounds off and he can still be played with and still have all his other functions. He takes 3 AA batteries and the remote takes 2 AA batteries. I think around $15-$18 would be a great value for this toy for what he can actually do, as 3 of the buttons on the actual remote are fake.
