The Gillette SkinGuard razor blade refills are clinically proven for sensitive skin with the SkinGuard feature that smooths your skin and protects it from the blades. It is designed to stop irritation with lubrication before and after the blade, working to minimize tug and pull and cut hair at the skin level. The soft microfins gently smooth and stretch skin while the microcomb guides hair to the blade. These blade refills feature our thinnest blades and a precision trimmer which is perfect for hard-to-reach places and styling facial hair. Your shave will have the right blend of closeness to avoid potential irritations you may have experienced from other razors. These razors are fantastic. In fact, they are all I will use. No irritation, no nicks, always smooth. My only complaint: they only last about 6-8 shaves then they start to pull. I'm sure that's by design so you buy more. Whatever, they're worth it.

I am a woman with PCOS which sadly means I am blessed with a little extra facial hair. I have tried multiple methods of shaving this hair (which is primarily above my upper lip and on my chin, both awkward to shave spots. I have tried dermaplaning. I’ve tried shaving with a regular razor primarily marketed towards women. Doing both of those things, I managed to cut myself. And with both of those things, I could still feel the remains of little stubble-y hairs, even on day one. I’m a bit of a wimp so waxing, which I tried once before, wasn’t going to happen. I searched on tiktok to see what other PCOS girls were using for facial hair. I found a video where this razor was recommended. Part of my was like ‘well I’ve already used a razor, AND a razor marketed as being for sensitive skin…and it was nothing special. So surely this will be just another waste of money I’ll end up using to shave my legs.’ The other part of me was desperately hoping that maybe this would be the fix to all of my problems. WELL LET ME TELL YOU, IT WAS. I used this razor for the first time and, immediately on first stroke, was absolutely impressed. It didn’t feel like it was dragging on my skin, or catching on and pulling the hairs. It felt so nice and gentle I was worried that it actually wasn’t getting the job done. When I was finished, I rinsed my face and that is when I was INSTANTLY sold on this razor FOREVER. My chin was COMPLETELY SMOOTH. My chin hasn’t been completely smooth since I was a teenager. I am amazed. AND!! ZERO CUTS! Now, like any razor, you will probably feel a little something on day two or three once the hairs start growing back. But this razor making shaving my face not as unpleasant and I find it easy enough to do every other day. Basically, if you are a girl, struggling with PCOS, and looking for a solution to those pesky facial hairs, don’t be embarrassed or self conscious of purchasing this because it’s a ‘men’s’ razor. It is truly worth it and so superior to any other razor I’ve tried on my face that I’m just sad I didn’t try to look for something better sooner. My husband has tried so many razors to no avail....but he says this time this is the one and only. The only one that does not cut the face and leave blood marks on clothes. The only one that does not cause razor burn. Believe me he has tried so many searched and searched just for the right one. Got this razor for my son’s first shave. Big moment. Emotional. I almost handed him a rusty machete just to toughen him up, but decided to be a decent dad instead. Enter: Gillette SkinGuard. I'm skeptical about product "innovations." I tend to find something that works and stick with it, for years-decades. I'd tried 4-5 blade razors before and found them too fat and awkward to use. But this is an exception (even though it really only has the two blades separated by a cushion). When it was clear my traditional two-blade model was being manufactured more and more cheaply, causing cuts and nicks more often than not, especially on my aging skin, I was willing to give this a try. Amazing. I shave in the shower with no mirror, all by feel. After a few tentative tries with it, I'm now sold on this special Gillette model. It feels as close as my old one ever was, yet I have no worries of bloody cuts, nicks, or burns. Cautiously also tried the little single blade at the top of the reversed side of the head. Worked great under nose and at sideburns when done gingerly. I can shave against the grain of the beard without concern. I hope they don't get me addicted to this then have some marketing genius who decides to discontinue it or cheapen its production in the future to increase profit margins. And, yes, this is more expensive, but seems worth it. ... show more
