This razor is very good. Gives you a nice close shave with fewer passes. My skin is sensitive but these blades do not irritate my skin. I used to use the Gillette mach 3 this new razor is a good step up.

    • Probably Gillette's best razor, but not as good as Schick Hydro 5
I shave my both my face and my head each morning. I have medium thick facial hair. I'm always seeking out the perfect razor. The best I've ever found for the task is the Schick Hydro 5 Razor with Sensitive Skin blades. I bought this and the Dorco Sleek at the same time to try them out and compare, since the Dorco appears to be a copy with the same features as this razor. This razor blew away the Dorco in every category. The Gillette is a noticeably better product. The blade glides over edges and along your face with greater ease than the Dorco. The latter hung up on stubble and left multiple nicks on my face. The Gillette will give a closer shave without the nicks. Where it falls short of the Schick Hydro 5 is that you can flip the top edge of the Hydro 5's razor blade back so you can get all the way under your nose to get those tough to reach hairs. This also allows you to shave closest to the edge of your ears where they meet your scalp. This longer, flatter blade won't let you do that. The best Gillette for that would be the old Excel, but those still don't get as close to the Schick Hydro 5. ... show more

I gave this a five however I've never used them yet. I'm still using three and five of the other raises that Gillette put out but I hope when I do use the Gillette that it works just as good as the other ones do because they still work pretty good the other ones I think I got three and I got five can't remember the names. I bought this Gillette Labs Razor for every man in my family. Everyone likes the quality and comfortable shave. The handle feels good in the hand, and the refills make it convenient to use for a long time.

    • Best shave I’ve had in years (possibly ever)
Great, smooth shave on a 3 day beard. Even better than I got wet shaving (astra double safety blades, Henry cavendish soap, badger hair brush). If the blades last half as long as they claim this will be more than worth the cost. I did decide to use a shaving oil so as not to clog the blades and I am very happy with that ( shhhh! Don’t tell anyone but I bought a shaving oil marketed for women. The stuff marketed for men was 7 times more expensive and Amazon has the stuff I bought in vanilla scent so I don’t smell like flowers). Overall, the razor and shaving oil give me the closest shave I’ve had in years (possibly ever since I’ve never had a real barber shave) with no cuts, minimal skin irritation, and easy cleanup.     • Surprisingly good!
Purchased this and razor system and started using it after delivery for over a month. I am very hard on razors so usually I use them for about a week to tens days until switching to a new one and looking for a good close shave. My problem spots are under my jaw and chin. The razor took good care of those problem spots and gave me a close smooth shave. Today it’s been over a month and the razor still works well without nicks and scratches like my other razors when they get dull. I have the metal handle which I prefer for the performance of the razor which I recommend for the use of these razor and blades. While the cost of replacement blades are a little high, the amount of time they last makes up for that cost. If it changes, I will update this review accordingly. ... show more
