  • Aero G Beast Works great for me.
Works great for me. I needed a creator motherboard. This one has 4, yes count them, 1,2,3,4, m.2 card slots, all of them pcie4 . I filled them all with 2TB drives. Ryzen 9 5950x 16 core 32 thread processor and 128 GB of ram. This build laughs in the face of danger. I couldn't be more pleased except that the price went down @100 after I bought it. I know people whine and moan about the colored lights on their RAM. I bought ram without out the lights, saved money, and never missed the lights anyway. I'm not a gamer, but gaming builds are more about graphics cards than motherboards anyway. Thumbs way up for this motherboard. ... show more

  • Awful Time With This Board With Ryzen 9, Great with Ryzen 7
Update: This board worked fine with a Ryzen 7, boots and runs just fine. I have built 50+ computers. So I'm not a newbie. I did like the features and layout of the board and looked great in a white case with all white water cooling components. System was a Ryzen 9 5950X with 64 GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro SL 3600MHz. With that said everything worked at first. The only problem I had was that it would not wake up from sleep mode in Windows 11. Would have to be hard booted. Not sure if this caused all the problems but figured I would update the BIOS to F4a. The system eventually started having boot issues, the CPU status LED and DRAM memory status LED just flashed back and forth and no beep code. I reset the CMOS removed the CMOS battery and still no boot. After turning it off and on many times (Power switch on power supply) it booted but would eventually start the cycle over. I did contact support and they did get back quickly, but the usual stuff, reseat memory, video card, check pins on CPU. Everything was brand new, minus the video card (which was from a working system). And I already did that minus checking the CPU pins (they are fine). How do I know they are fine, I order a competitors board (ASUS) and everything worked as it should on first startup and also sleeps and wakes as it should. I will try this board again with a Ryzen 7 and different memory since the return window has passed. Took a while to get all the parts I need. I do like Gigabyte products and have used them in the passed without issue. Maybe I have to wait for the next BIOS update for this product to be viable or maybe this board is defective. ... show more

  • Easy Installation
Used to build a monochromatic system using the ThermalTake Core P3 White as a base. Installation was straight-forward and did not have to load any special drivers or BIOS updates to support the 5950X CPU. Board works about as good as it looks. Initial tests show the advertised specs match the performance I have observed. System has been up for 5 days as of this writing. The M2 screws in the box are INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED, which means 4 screws in four separate sealed plastic wraps. Boxed WiFi antenna has a magnetic base. Also, the mid-board design is not a hologram, it is a prismatic cover that shows the unpainted aluminum heat sink underneath. But it really does look like a hologram even up close. - I will update if anything else becomes apparent. ... show more

  • Very good functionally, however...
I gave this board only 3 stars because many options in the BIOS can't be changed easily, and I'm having to do a ton of online research in order to learn how to access those controls. When I spend this much money for a high-end platform like X570, I expect to have full control over every function out of the box, but instead I'm having to waste time looking for answers instead of using my new computer. Pros: 1. LOTS of NVMe support! There are 4 M.2 slots on the board (with built-in heatsinks), so no more stealing PCIe lanes from your graphics card and limiting it to 8x performance. Because of that, this is a great board for content creators and gamers alike! 2. Good VRM thermals. 3. No noisy chipset fan. 4. Great-looking design. Cons: 1. Very limited BIOS control out of the box. 2. The RAM slots' RGB control is very flaky, with random DIMMs' LEDs turning off at random times. If you use Gigabyte's RGB Fusion software, the problem is even worse and you have to go through extra steps to block it from seeing your RAM if you want another software to control your RAM's lighting. Functionally, this motherboard is fine, especially if you intend to let AMD's Ryzen Master software control your CPU's settings. However, if you like to have granular control over every tiny little setting (without having to spend hours to learn how), then this board may not be for you. And if aesthetics are important to you, be prepared to go through extra trouble to gain control of your lighting. Gigabyte should have fixed the well-documented RAM RGB issue before releasing this board. SHAME, Gigabyte!! Shame. ... show more
