Got this rx6600 gigabyte eagle for $218 before tax. My 2 main concerns were does it have coil whine and are the fans loud or quiet. The card I received has no audible coil whine and the fans are quiet. I upgraded one of my backup gaming rigs from a gtx970 to this rx6600. You really don't need to spend a lot as this card runs everything perfectly and with nice detail. Uses way less wattage too and generates a lot less heat. Great for gaming and work for sure.

This card is an incredible value, performance per dollar is insane. The RX 6600 performs at the level of RTX 2060 and 3060 cards for a fraction of the price (paid 227 dollars for mine) and only consumes 100 watts at peak load. Card runs incredibly quietly even at max load and temps has not exceeded 67c. I'm running Metro Exodus enhanced edition on high settings, ray tracing on high and get 65fps consistently. It's an amazingly well performing card. Having said that, I got what clearly appeared to be a refurbished card. The box was labeled as refurbished, although the item listing did not mention ANYWHERE that the card was refurbished. I fully expected to get a brand new card. The card I got looked new, but the anti static bag had clearly already been opened, so no telling what condition the card really is in. I've been using the card without any issues and it has performed flawlessly, but I'm just disappointed I guess Other than that, would definitely recommend the RX 6600 for mid-range budget builds. ... show more

Gigabyte 6600 Eagle 8Gb works perfectly in Win8.1x64 !!!! Much snappier and better picture on same TV. Pulls 5W less on idle than 1030 it replaced. Wakes up from standby perfectly. Finally last upgrade for my 9 year old HTPC (Win8x64, GA-Z170X, I7-6700k, 25Tb Raid10). Removes 8min of commercials per 30min of 4k recording for years.
