  • Great image quality and speed at a great price!
Style: QHD | 165Hz 1ms | 31.5" | Height Adj.
I was between this model and two MSI models. I use Gigabyte Video cards, Laptops, and motherboards but I wasn't aware they made monitors until a couple of years ago. I took a shot on this based on online reviews. I have to say, I am not only not disappointed, but I am blown away. Great picture quality, speedy performance at 165hz, a great OSD that allows for tweaking things to your personal liking, and great aesthetics make this a real winner with plenty of hidden value. The screen itself is well made and sturdy, and this monitor uses an LG panel, so you know the quality is there. The colors are sharp and well-rendered, the speed and clarity is phenomenal and the inputs are all neatly concealed underneath the bottom of the monitor. The out of box experience was excellent. I put the stand on the back of the unit, attached the base, and plugged it in. It worked perfectly and Windows immediately found the Monitor and adjusted my resolution to 2560x1440. Even better, with a few clicks from within my Nvidia settings app, I was able to use G-Sync. The text is sharp and clear, but the real star of the show is in the gaming performance. I came from a 12-year-old Gateway 1900x1200 @60hz monitor. This monitor is such an improvement from what I was used to, it was like being blind for years and being granted sight. It's that good and that big an improvement from 60hz. The speed, lack of tearing, and overall crispness of the monitor are light years beyond 60hz. All good by me and I am happy I went with Gigabyte. This is a great product! ... show more

  • I couldn't believe what i was looking at with 1440p 120 fps!
Style: QHD | 165Hz 1ms | 31.5" | Height Adj.
After figuring some settings out. I'd say 1440 at 120fps on this monitor compares to, if not better than a lot a 4k 60fps tv's I probably like a lot of others. Was a little sceptical at first. But after playing Doom eternal, Halo infinite, Gears 5 on this with the Series X at 1440 at 120 fps i wouldn't trade it for a big ass run of the mil 4K tv. There are some Pros and Cons. HDR looks good on games that support HDR if you can opt for 120 fps then yes that route instead. HDR with dark movies is to dark. Light bleed threw is only apparent during dark movies especially wide aspect films. The corners are visibly bleeding light. But the image HDR can produce is worth it with more well lit movies. Some games at 120fps at 1440 look bad. Like grainy and over contrasted. These games sometimes support hdr like battlefield 1 looks better in hdr. Haven't done a lot of super dark hdr gaming yet like Resident Evil but i can assume like movies the hdr would be to dark? Idk but this tv's peak brightness is around 450 nits. Which for VA panel is AWESOME because it's contrast is also exceptional considering the price. But for hdr to shine you need about 800 nits As far as gaming goes. Virtually no light bleed is noticable. Even in dark scenes. The next best thing to this is cheaper model gaming 55 inch tv, with vvr 120hrz and a decent peak brightness. Looking to spend 7-800 dollars though. For the price of 340$ it's value for it's quality can't be matched. It's a well built monitor. Controls are easy to figure out. It's Curve has literally changed my perception of game emersion. If your looking for this for the PS5 your not going to get 1440 resolution Ps5 doesn't support it. You'll get a downscaled 4k into hdr 60fps or 1080 at 120fps. I'm sure it will still look good just not 2k good. Just do it before you end up with a crappier choice. This was well worth the money ... show more

  • Best monitor I've ever owned.
Style: QHD | 165Hz 1ms | 31.5" | Height Adj.
I added my settings on both the Nvidia graphics card color settings and the monitor settings. A lot of reviewers say this monitor has grey instead of blacks. I updated my monitor before spending a lot of time getting to look the way I want. The blacks are nice and black in destiny 2. This is a va monitor and it very impressive coming from a Sony 4k monitor. I run the display port cable to get around 10 more frames a second while playing games. I set the graphics card digital vibrance higher because display port 1.2 doesn't do hdr so my settings ups the vibrance to make colors pop more like hdr. The monitor has a black stabilizer settings that makes the black areas lighter for games like call of duty where people hide in the shadows and get behind you so you can't see them so increase the black stabilizer to lighten areas for seeing enemies it similar to what an LG monitor does. I had to make a custom setting of 2560 x 1440 at 165htz in the graphics card because windows 10 doesn't recognize the monitor and doesn't display that setting with the display port. Hdmi is recognized by windows so the settings are there if you go hdmi. This monitor can get very bright my settings are sometimes to bright but I'd rather lower the game brightness then mess with my settings. In my opinion this beats my 4k Sony monitor in every way. It supper responsive with either keyboard and mouse or controller. I am definitely impressed with what Gigabyte has made with this VA monitor and I think I'm going to stick with Gigabyte from now. I'm going to enjoy this monitor for years to come. Ok further update I changed some settings on the graphics card. Contrast is 90 percent and digital vibrance is at 77 and now my monitor looks just like my Sony Bravia x900e. I love this monitor I think I'll leave my adjustments where they are and use it like this. Plus side Stadia was running yesterday in 4k 60 and it was great. The newest pictures are posted. The last 4 pictures starting with the gun and going right are the new settings. ... show more

  • Great monitor
Style: QHD | 165Hz 1ms | 31.5" | Height Adj.
The software was working great for a while, but recently has stopped working, but so has my graphics card software so it could anything. The nob for controls on the monitor are useable I have had little issue. Black screens with text you can tell the uniformity isn't great but not terrible. Colors look good and I came from a 720p TV so this is a big improvement ... show more
