  • No Support, also check your seller.
So this card is great, an over performer. When it works. About two weeks into having the card it started to crash games, so I tried a driver update. Seemed to fix it, but then I was getting crashes every 15 minutes of anything that ran DirectX. I tried to get support from Gigabyte, but all I got was radio silence. Garbage service from a company that makes as much as they do. So I returned the card. Here's where you need to watch your seller. Check that the address isn't coming from a residential location. I bought from the drop shipper GH Electronics (we record SN#) and the restocking fee is EXACTLY the difference in price from when I bought it,$1799, to today's $1349. Disgusting from gigabyte for making a bad product they don't stand behind, and disgusting practice from someone trying to scam you out of money. ... show more

  • ITS HUGE
I previously had a H510 elite with a Ryzen 2700X and a Gigabyte RTX 2060. I used to have an NZXT 280 infinity mirror AIO but I swapped for the DeepCool AIO for more GPU clearance in the front. I am not going to complain about the software because there are already enough complaints about Gigabyte's software online, and evidently there's not much that can be done except hope for the best. I got my fan lights to work after 4 hours of trying, and I decided that was good enough and uninstalled the control software. Controlling the LCD was deemed impossible/not worth the hassle. Addressing some of the jankiness of handling this GPU: A lot of the problems I faced were undoubtedly due to the vertical mount configuration, but I already had the mount from my previous build and I have grown attached to the aesthetic. That being said, the sheer volume of this GPU is incredible. Don't get me wrong, I saw the reviews. I saw the numbers, I made my measurements, made sure everything would fit. But you truly have no idea how big this thing is until you try to build with it. The weight alone is a source of frustration, as you're often propping this sucker up with a few fingers while the other hand attempts to screw in supports. There were several "Oh F***" moments when my hand would slip, and the full wieght of this behemoth would slide toward my delicate motherboard. Needless to say, there are some scratches and nicks on my case that weren't there before. In terms of clearance, do your best to overestimate with this thing. As you can see, with my radiator in the front of the case, the GPU shroud was pressed firmly against the backside of it, completely snuffing out the airflow. Getting a new AIO for the top of the case didn't exactly solve my problem. I failed to realize that the DeepCool AIO pump was significantly larger than the NZXT one. Now my problem was that the GPU would completely conflict with the AIO. I decided that my best bet would be to rotate the AIO pump to give me the most room possible. Then I had to take my GPU mount and do my best to attach it to the case. I discovered that those long radiator screws were the same size as the PCIe screws, which allowed me to sort-of ratchet the mount into place. Fortunately the screws didn't interfere with my access of the display ports. And for the sake of full disclosure, in this process the backplate totally scratched the heck out of the acrylic AIO, but luckily it's hardly visible. Lastly, due to my jury-rigged PCIe mount as well as the sheer weight of the GPU, it had a considerable amount of flex and "sag," even in the vertical orientation. In order to fix this I decided to prop it up from the bottom of the case, and fortunately the included motherboard support bracket was just the right height It was also slim enough to be completely unnoticeable even with the LEDs turned on, which is nice. This is not the final state of this build, firstly, I did my best to hide the hideous 12VHPWR adapter, but it needs to go. So, I'll be purchasing one of cablemod's adapters asap. • Fast card, but way too bulky.
This card is an absolute unit. It's hard to describe how massive it is until you hold it, it's the largest/bulkiest 4080 currently on the market. The card worked great, I just ended up having to return it due to its size. I have a larger mid-tower case and it was pressing up against the side of the case, I didn't feel comfortable running it like that. Would recommend only if you have a full tower case. Attached a picture of it next to a PS5 for scale reference. ... show more

  • Just know it's massive
Just got it. Took all night to get it into the case. Had to move a bunch of other cards around to make room. Just know this thing is huge and budget some time for installation. NO fires....

  • Good card bad software
The graphics card works as it should but Gigabyte control center does not detect my graphics card. I am unable to change rgb or the lcd screen since my card does not appear on GCC and their support said that I am not allowed to use other rgb softwares as the solution that didn't work.
