This machine is beautiful and very well made. For those wanting hands-down the best coffee every morning, this is your machine. Sure, you can buy a comparable grinder for $350, then a scale for $30, a proper kettle for $150, and so on, or you can get the full package in a single clever package plus the convenience of some automation and precision of a computerized machine. There aren’t many videos or reviews of this machine out there, most being pre-production previews. That’s a shame, because this machine is worth some hype and attention. The machine is accessible to different levels if user / expertise. You can load beans into the hopper and tell it how many cups to grind and brew, or, you can create your own recipe from scratch getting into all the fine details of the hobby (grind size, brew ratio, bloom size, bloom time, steps, temperature, etc.). If you can snag one of these on sale for $800 or less, then they are a good value. I did have to replace my first unit due to manufacturing defect resulting in the scale reading being inverted and I didn’t hear back from Customer Support, so I am weary should there ever be an issue in the future, but with how solid and thoughtfully built this unit is, I am not too worried about that. ... show more

Update, work around is to make sure there is no water in the machine when it asks you to ensure water is in the machine. I really want to like this machine, it feels well made and was well packed however, the first time I go to use it I get a water shortage failure when the water is up to the max line.     • Amazing Results, easy to use, worth The price!
My family likes everything Deep fried.. looking for healthier options I finally decided to invest. After lots of research, I decided on this one. Mainly, Because of its dimensions, smallest outside dimension, for interior cubic space I could find.. my kitchen is so tiny. I have been desperately trying to preserve counter space, and this model is absolutely perfect for a family of 6. Had it for 6 weeks now, and loving it!! First day, I air fried sweet potatoes they came out golden and fluffy. With A drop of oil They Were Actually crispier in the air fryer than my traditional deep fryer that is now at the Goodwill. Also I love that they only cooked in 15 minutes, just a little longer than deep frying. This was My first time using an air fryer it was so easy! No more oil burns up my arms!! The machine is literally almost silent!! I have also used it on sausage, regular bacon, turkey bacon, made Parmesan chicken and of course French Fries!! The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. The turkey bacon was the best I have ever had. Definitely can tell the difference in food quality with this air fryer. Also very easy to clean, the machine itself is gorgeous , has a high end , modern look and feel to it., the control panel is well lit and easy to read as well! it is definitely a game changer for me. and with so many other options the dehydration setting especially, makes this machine worth every penny. The machine is visually stunning and very well constructed. The coffee it produces is fantastic! But, good luck getting it to work first time you try to brew each morning. I’ve been hit with the “Water Shortage Failure “ issue each time despite having a full tank. The only way around it is to tell the machine you’re using ground coffee, trick the scale with something that weighs close to the expected amount, and then start the brew. Gevi support is non-existent and does not answer calls. ... show more

    • Good basic 4-slice toaster
This toaster replaced a 15 year old Delonghi 4-slice toaster in our kitchen. We were looking for something that would toast bread, waffles, and bagels. The Gevi is a good basic toaster without too many bells and whistles. It easily accommodates large items like bagels, toasts quickly, and the temperature control requires only a bit of tweaking for different breads. The Gevi toaster is stylish but feels relatively lightweight in its construction. It's long-term reliability remains to be seen. Amazon's web site states that the toaster comes with a "TWO-YEAR Promise" which I assumed to mean a two-year warranty. However, the shipping materials say that there is only a one-year warranty. Hopefully, I won't have to make use of whatever length warranty is in effect. ... show more

As far as a coffee pot, it works! The only negatives I have noticed with this coffee pot is the carafe pour spout is too shallow, it leaks if you aren’t 10000% slow and careful. If you are anything like a morning zombie like me, this may be difficult. When you start pouring coffee, you Must pour SLOW and carefully or else the coffee will just run down the side of the carafe versus make it into your cup. It also brews very slow if you have it on medium or strong brew settings, but the programmable timer makes it easier to brew and have it ready before you are. Also, I thought I read in the description that there is a “sneak-a-cup” feature to pause the drip. It doesn’t, you’ll have to wait until it’s done brewing before grabbing a cup if you don’t want a mess. ... show more

    • I toast therefore I am (a toaster).
It's a good little toaster, pretty basic. You put bread in the slots and few minutes later out comes toast. No fancy LED's, no special buttons, just a toaster (which is what we wanted). The quality is reasonable, it's good looking, a bit retro perhaps. The slots will take a normal, bought from the store loaf of bread slice, but we make our own bread and it is longer than normal store-bought bread so I have to do the bottom, then flip it, and do the top. They are wide enough to take Einstein's bagels, which is good, too. We like it and it does the job. ... show more
