    • Great Value for Learning to Paint - Lots of Detail in This Large Canvas
I am enjoying painting this large paint by numbers project. I don't expect to have a masterpiece but this is a great value for learning to paint, like I am. There is a lot of detail in this canvas. In fact, it takes really great close vision to see the numbers on many of the small spots so I only work on this during the day. This canvas came with the paints - each is labeled with the number which corresponds to where it goes on the canvas -, 3 paint brushes (one is medium for brushing larger areas and the other two are fine tipped for painting small areas), and a couple of small pieces for hanging (?) this which I probably won't use. I like that the canvas has a border outside of the picture for those who want to attach this to a painting frame (I'm not sure what it's called and I'm not using one). The canvas did come folded so my first task was to iron it before using. There were no 'hard' creases although even after ironing, the curves of the folds are still there (that's where that painting frame would be handy). I'm hanging the canvas to dry so hopefully these folds will be pulled out over time. The paint is acrylic which is easy to use, fast drying, and easy to correct any mistakes. My rating is 3 stars for I enjoy learning control of the painting details and using the brushes. I would have preferred the canvas not be folded.
