Description

With French key mechanism, a silver headjoint and a B footjoint, the Gemeinhardt 3SHB intermediate flute is one of the most desired step-up flutes offered today. The Gemeinhardt 3SHB intermediate flute has been a longtime favorite for students upgrading their flutes. Featuring a solid silver headjoint, silver-plated body, mechanism, and B footjoint, French style keys (open hole). Comes complete with hard shell case, case-cover, and cleaning rod. The J1 headjoint is the solid silver version of Gemeinhardt's classic headjoint, offering the least resistance and a round, warm tone. It provides extremely quick response in the low register while retaining a free-blowing high register.

I've been playing the flute for around 15 years. I have always wanted to upgrade the one I had. This flute has a great tone, plays very smooth, extremely easy to hit the upper and lower registers compared to my old flute. I love it, and I'm very happy with my purchase. It comes with the hole plugs if you don't want to play open hole. It doesn't come with a swab, but it does come with the stick. It has a hard case inside of the black canvas case (which has a white fur lining). This is a beautiful flute. Great sound. Easy maintaince. I have had Gemeinhardt flutes ever since my first many years ago. They are a quality product and I would recommend them to anyone. This particular one (bought used) was very well maintained and I would have gladly paid more for it. (I thank you for the deal!!) It's been many years since I have played and this was a perfect way to bring my love of music back into my life. I know there are a plethora of bad reviews of Gemeinhardt flutes, but as a veteran flute player (I am 27 and have played since 6th grade) I have had 3 Gemeinhardt flutes. The first closed hole (to learn on). The second an open-hole and this is my third. I have never had an issue, ever. They kept my in 1st chair most of my high school band life so they must sound pretty good. This is a great instrument!!! ... show more

I got this flute used for an amazing deal of $360. I can tell the difference when I play this compared to my student flutes. It has a clearer sound, it's easier to hit high notes (without sounding strident) and the action of the keys feels better. :)
