Just bought this pizza oven was a good deal on July 4th, at first was very disappointed since was unable to get passed 230c, Then I change the regulator for a higher psi and got a big ass flame that almost reach the front in low, in high the flame was getting out.. Then I tested again the infrared thermometer z and got a sweet 500c on the front and 550c on the back. The termómeter reach Hi! Now at this temp my pizza was out in less than 60 sec. Like this oven since it's with and rotary stone it's a plus , but with new temp's after changing regulator is game changer. Next time thinking o changing the stone for a thicker one 2". A try more pizzas ( one after the other) Making a front door can help a lot. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So I know the Ooni pizza oven lovers are gonna hate this review, but I absolutely love this gas powered grill! Trust me, I used to be a member of that fan club! The reason I am not going with his gas powered auction is it’s so much easier to clean causes left foot and I actually the footprint is much smaller. The ease of set up is unbelievable four legs fold right out and ready to go. There’s no smoke stack to deal with as the heating element is gas feed. All and all it’s much easier to use. And I didn’t even get to mention the cost about 1/3 of others! I might even try to end up finding a Square stone. This could easily work without using the battery powered motor. There appear to be reviews for different options of this oven. I'm reviewing the black rectangular shaped one. This is the budget option to see if this is something you will do enough to invest in something better quality. I got it because I was unsure if one of these gadgets was worth the hassle. I can make a pretty good pizza in our home oven without having to set up something outdoors. This oven appealed to me because it has a large and rotating stone. The components aren't the greatest quality, but it works surprisingly well. It was a little touchy when we tried to ignite the gas, but once it got going it was fine. You need two D batteries (not provided) for the rotation unit. I would much prefer using AA or 9V batteries instead of D. I like to use Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries because they don't leak and can endure extreme temperatures, but they only come in AAA, AA, and 9V, not D. That means I have to take the batteries out every time after use and reinstall them when I want to use the oven. That's not easy to do. The instructions weren't the greatest, but I figured it out with not too much trouble. The online description says "we provide 2 years after-sales service, which is risk-free for you." I saw no indication in the paperwork that there is any warranty, just a customer service email address. As to performance, it was fine. The pizzas I made had a much softer and puffier crust than I can get in our electric oven. It's going to take some practice getting used to sliding them off the peel, but that's not any fault of the oven's. I do wish it had a door for faster preheating. I will have to rig something up to help with that. You will need a pizza peel and a brass bristle brush. We found there was quite a bit of ash on the stone after removing the pizza. A long handled brass bristle pizza stone brush would wipe that off without burning. The current price after coupon is $199.97. If you're on the fence about one of these it's probably worth that to give it a try. I would not pay the list price of $299.97 given the quality. ... show more

Great and affordable alternative to the other alternatives that cost hundreds of dollars more, with a few caveats. Bottom line, it works at a fraction of the price. The package came with the pizza oven, pizza stone, turn table, motor, propane line, wrench, and a heat resistant glove. Instructions were simple enough and in fact I forgot to bring the instructions with me during my first use. It was still simple to use. The oven has 4 folding legs that fold closed when stowing and out when in use. Connecting the gas line was easy and the included wrench made for a tight fit. The motor didn’t include 2 D batteries, so I had to get those. Installing the motor and shaft into the oven and turntable were easy enough. It operates via switch on the motor box. Firing it up is a little finicky. You’re supposed Ed to turn to max gas and turn a little more for the ignition to spark but the oven puts out a big whoosh and puts the fire out. It’s easier to ignite it with a lighter through the lighting hole near the gas knob. But once on, it was fine. One thing I didn’t take mind of during the first use was to preheat the stone ENOUGH. You really need to get it hot for the dough to cook through. I suggest covering the entry with a baking sheet to hold in heat for better preheating. That’s what I ended up doing and it started to work great. I got a great crust and leopard’ing underneath the crust after I successfully preheated the stone. A few things though that need addressing. As I mentioned, the ignition isn’t that great and manually doing it works best. Another thing is that the feet don’t grip onto the surface it’s on and it slides while you try to turn the knob to on and ignite. The feet are plastic covered. It really should’ve been a rubber or silicone material to help grip. Also, there are a few loose screw on the bottom that you might need to tighten yourself. For these issues I did have to knock off a star. Overall though, for the price, it functions wonderfully. Pizzas came out better than from a conventional oven. And for the price, you can’t really beat it. ... show more

Bought this as a gift for my dad as it had great reviews. Didnt want to spend the money on an OONI but after looking at the reviews, people love this more than the OONI. We love that it spins and that it folds under. Very easy to use and cook. Made perfect pizzas on our first time trying!
