As an adult woman with small wrists, I was having a difficult time finding a fitness tracker that wasn't huge. I also did not want to spend $100 or more and the cheaper "generic" trackers often were not accurate. I was not interested in a lot of features other than tracking my steps. After trying several that were either too large, wouldn't sync with my cell phone, or did not track steps accurately, I decided to give this child's watch a try. I liked the color of this, the reviews were good, and it was less than half the price of most adult fitness trackers. The only issue I have is that the numbers on the small face are difficult to see without my glasses. But the positives are many (including the fact that it never needs to be charged; It has a battery that supposedly lasts a year and I believe it can be replaced.) No one can tell it has a "Frozen" design; It just looks like a small light blue watch. It does have games and features I won't use like tracking my chores (although maybe that would be a good idea and help with procrastinating!) ... show more

This watch is exactly what we were hoping would do. Not only does my 8 year old love it, it has become a very helpful parenting tool. The app and watch are user friendly. My son loves to see his steps, activity goals and chores completed. He uses the timer for every including brushing his teeth. The alarms have probably been one of the most useful tools since it helps him to know that when the timer goes off it’s time to go up to get ready for bed, to wake up in the morning and to get ready for school or come back in from playing. He used to struggle with these but when the watch tells him he can’t argue with that. He loves to surpass his activity goals. And the fact that I can add and reward chores is very helpful as well. This watch has dramatically improved my sons awareness of time management, goal setting and keeping in task. I definitely recommend it. Garmin is a wonderful company. We bought this item for our 5 year old sons birthday. We have the star wars version of this watch for our 7 year old son and he has had it for over a year and still loves it. Unfortunately, after only 29 days, this spiderman model broke. The screen just went black for no reason. I contacted Garmin and within 10 minutes of chatting, they had a replacement on its way. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service. Things we like about this watch: - Chore incentives are great. - Our boys can start "toe to toe" challenges that keep them active and having fun. - I can set reminders for my son while he is at school. For example, I was going to pick him up 30 minutes later on a Tuesday so, the night before, I was able to set a reminder on his watch so he didn't forget. - They can wear it while they swim. - The sleep tracking is pretty spot on. - Overall, this watch keeps my boys moving and having fun and it has been great product for them. The battery life on my 7 year old sons watch lasted almost one year exactly to the date. Battery replacement was easy and it is still going strong. Things that could be better: -The ability to add reminders to the watch when you don't physically have the watch nearby so you don't have to "sync" the watch after each change. -GPS tracking would be great to watch kids get to/from school safely. -The ability to have both watches on one smart phone. For example, my husband keeps my oldest sons app on his phone and I keep our younger sons on mine. In order to see my older sons app, I have to re-sync it to my phone, which kicks my younger sons app off until I re-sync it. Having the ability to have multiple watches on one device would be really helpful. ... show more

Overall we’ve had it for almost 2 months. He wears it almost always except to bathe. He likes to see his activity and he likes to check off his chores to earn points. I like it because it is helping him become more independent and I can see how much movement and sleep he is getting each day and on average over time. Pros: Good watch, activity, chore and sleep tracker. -The alarms are helpful (you can set 10) and are moving my child toward independence in many areas. -The activity tracker, point system and the rewards are highly motivating. The sleep tracker shows light sleep, deep sleep, and wake ups. Tracks daily as well as weekly and monthly averages Note- You can add coins manually by going to the rewards tab and clicking on the coins at the top. Cons: -My child got a rash from the band. I was not aware that it needed to be cleaned every night. The night I saw the rash, an alert flashed on the screen of the app saying to clean it with alcohol every day. It would be nice to have a cloth band, too. -You can only set 10 alarms/chores. I wish you could set more. We use them as a checklist for daily activities and snack reminders as well as chores. It doesn’t always sync well. -We almost always have to sync it manually because it won’t stay paired with my phone. -The alarm sound isn’t very pleasant, it is rather jarring. It would be nice if more alarms could be set and the tone was more relaxing/calming. Also, the text for the alarms on the screen is limited to 7 characters, so we had to abbreviate everything. -The icons are a little odd for kids. - We haven’t figured out the Star Wars game yet. So I can’t comment on that yet. Overall it is a decent watch, and it has been very helpful. With a few minor tweaks, I think it could be much more useful. ... show more
