    • Far exceeding expectations!
Purchased this to replace a fairly designed and poor battery life iwatch SE. Please note there is a learning curve if your new to the garmin smartwatches and given how techical this watch is, youtube videos and reviewing the manual helped. Battery life: is outstanding! (so much so that I should have considered the non-solar model and save a hundred bucks or so). the guide and manual quotes 1-2 days max of extra battery with regular exposure to sunlight for solar model but i'm averaging at least 7-8 days. FAR superior than the 18 hours of an apple iwatch. Design: also amazing! the red start button is cool. i've already hit the door and bike handle and fridge door with this baby and no dings or dents while my old iwatch definitely took some dents and scratches. the depth is slightly thicker so keep that in mind, this is not on the thin side. For smaller wrists, the screen size is nearly perfect! (7s only - the regular or X sized models are bigger). the rubber strap can and IMO should be replaced out as it's nothing special but the quick release option is a great future for swapping which i will down the road. Tech features: Way too many to list- barometer, quick catching gps, heart rate monitor, sleep tracker, body battery, vo2, oh man again everything you need from amateur to aspiring athlete. IF you Golf, this watch will do just about everything a separate golf watch does so that in itself it worth it. I love that it automatically showed the altitude i reached on my mountain bike after my ride. There are a few downsides: first (as mentioned above) the difficult learning curve, you can tweak a lot of settings but they take a few steps, and not as intuitive as an iwatch. Also so far I cannot seem to answer a call or reply to texts (but just the notifications are ok)- if this is a deal breaker for you please keep that in mind. Lastly some glitches with slow Wifi (even with good signal and fast internet speeds) it will take a while to download and sync music and apps (via Garmin connect IQ app). maybe with an android you don't experience these glitches but I am an iphone user so just my experience. Overall, very satisfied, this watch help me keep motivated and on track towards my health goals better than any previous smartwatch has done, with regular software updates garmin provides, for the price paid this is an excellent item. ... show more

Had a 5S and wanted to upgrade for a few reasons. The 5 had given me issues with heart rate cadence lock which would cause my load calculations to be inaccurate. The 5 also didn't support my concept 2 rower natively. I could use the ergiq app but using that it didn't count toward training status. With the 7 I'm getting much better heart rate data and I can now use the Garmin indoor row activity and add my rower as a sensor which let's my rowing activities calculate into my training status. Also enjoying the sleep tracking, health snapshot which gives HRV, and the body battery features. Very happy with the upgrade so far. ... show more

I purchased the Fenix 7S took me a while to justify all the features of the 7X and decided I didn’t need all the extra stuff to include the light. I opted for the 7S 47mm and found a great deal by Tech-Boutique. The shipment came a day earlier than anticipated and via FedEx. I was able to receive the watch at a great deal with an accurate description of the reason why it was discounted. I purchased this watch for my girlfriend, and she loves it. However, the watchband is poorly designed and has a very weak lock. For the watch's price, they would make better watchbands as well. Luckily for her, the watchband lock broke on her, not while snorkeling.
