  • Amazing fitness watch... leaves behind the gimmicks and delivers what's most important.
This watch is perfect for those that are interested in a watch that works well, but maybe doesn't deliver the gimmicks that the other major players may include. Benefits: - GPS is spot on. I did a 24mile rim2rim grand canyon hike. My watch read 23.9 miles at the end. Make sure to verify "GPS+GLONASS" setting is selected. - Battery life is without compare. I charge about once a week (takes about an hour). This means you can sleep with the watch on every night. - Displays during activities are highly configurable and work great. - Ability to auto-lap at the 1-mile mark for activities - Intelligent training advice and tracking based on v02 and aerobic/anaerobic activities - Daily summary and info via the Connect app is intuitive and informative without pandering Be aware: - Can be time consuming to configure everything the way you want - Default watch faces are basic. Downloadable ones are amazing (I'm currently using the 'crystal' face) - No touch screen. I feel this is a positive. I don't want a tiny touch screen getting accidentally hit more than actually used. Draw backs: - Screen is not super bright when compared to other watches.... as a result, the battery lasts forever. I have never had an issue seeing the watch in the sun. - Reading text messages and phone 'stuff' isn't great. however, this is why I have a phone... - Map stuff is kind of worthless... I use my phone if I need to look at a map. I suggest this watch for individuals that are serious about recording activity. If you're looking for a decorative status symbol, maybe consider the alternative... for me, I have since purchased Fenix watches for the rest of my family. ... show more

  • Amazing
I started with a Fitbit Charge 4 that I used for a while and then moved to an Amazfit T-Rex Pro. The Amazfit was really nice, but it would not control music and a workout at the same time. It was a decent watch, but I needed a more serious smart watch and I am not a fan of the Apple Watch. I settled on the Garmin Fenix 6X Pro for the size, battery life and ability to load Spotify playlists directly on the watch. I have to say that after only a few days, I am blown away. This watch does everything I need and does it well. The GPS locks the fastest of any watch that I have had and I have had a lot of running specific GPS watches. The music (Spotify) from the watch is great and pairs easily with my bluetooth earbuds. The thing that blows me away is the amount of data that it collects and how the app itself is put together. It is very customizable and is excellent for running, hiking, workouts, etc. The watch actually motivates me to work out more and improve my health. Outstanding watch for anyone that wants to track their performance. *********************************************************************************************************************************************** I rely on reviews when I make purchases so I put a lot of time into reviewing everything I buy on Amazon for personal and my business. • Perfect
I leave 5 stars because for Garmin watches there is no other way, in my opinion these are one of the best smartwatches. I have 4 Garmin watches: fenix pro5, fenix pro 7, Instinct® 2 Solar - Tactical Edition and vívomove, this garmin fenix 6 I bought for my cousin and I'm sure he will be happy with it. I haven't turned it on yet because it's a gift, so I hope everything will be fine with it. I haven't had a problem with Garmin watches so far, so I think this one will work well too. ... show more

  • Why did it take me so long to get a Garmin?
I've always tracked rides or hikes using Strava and All Trails on my phone, but finally decided to splurge and get the Garmin Fenix 6X Pro after considerable research. My wife about had a coronary when she saw I spent over $600 on a watch, but as an avid backpacker that does 7-10 day trips in the Sierras I was sold on the Fenix which comes pre-loaded with a topo and has a 60 hour battery life when tracking with GPS. The pre-loaded topo and Strava/All Trails app integrations were the deciding reasons for not getting the Coros. The battery life on the Coros is also excellent, but there's no topo, so I splurged on the Fenix. On my first hike I couldn't believe the data I could find at a glance. I'm typically hiking with a particular distance or elevation goal in mind as I'm typically training for big hikes or backpacking trips. Being able to quickly track elevation gain, distance, pace, sunset time, etc. in real time without unlocking my phone and opening an app has been a game changer. I can't imagine training without it. Being able to add and personalize data screens so that I can quickly cycle through different metrics I'm tracking on training hikes is unbelievable. I've also pre-loaded courses for big hikes where I'd like to use my watch for navigation instead of breaking out my phone or a physical topo. The elevation chart that lets me track progress helps me pace myself. Using the watch instead of a phone app means I'm not draining the phone battery, and I can easily see when I'm off course or when I need to connect with another trail. I found the audible navigation alerts annoying, but I was able to turn those off. It seems like there's no limit to the settings you can adjust to your own personal preferences. ... show more

  • Perfect Multi sport Watch!!!
Have bought and used the renewed Garmin Fenix since 2021. It’s perfect! Especially the body battery feature and no need to buy a mtb computer when you have this. The best part about this watch is that unlike the apple watch, the screen never breaks!! Highly recommend for runners and mountain bikers!

  • This is an awesome watch!!
I have been using Garmin watches for many years. I am a age group competitor and the functions have assisted me in lowering my times while tracking many metrices. I purchased this watch about a year ago and have had no issues so far. I love the many different statistics it provides when doing activities (of which there are many preprogrammed into it). The wrist based heart rate monitor eliminates the need to wear a chest strap. Inwill certainly keep with the Garmin brand when it es tie to upgrade again. ... show more
