My waist is a 33” and my hips are 39.5”. I ordered a size 28 and it's too big. I need a size 27. The fabric is thin and stretchy. I think the right size would be comfortable.

3.5 stars. The quality of these jeans is what you would expect of GAP, so I'm pleased with that. I really like that they are 100% cotton. While certain jeans can use some stretch, I'm trying to get away from synthetic materials. I'm 5'6" (or 5'5.5") and it seems like the inseam is around 31". I might have preferred the short inseam, but the product description on this page is horrible. Not only does it not state the inseam measurements, but it does not mention the rise or provide a sizing chart. I was ordering blind, and I wish there had been more reviews at the time I ordered. According to some online charts I looked up, I thought I was ordering a size 10. It turns out the 31 is a size 12. They fit, but they were baggy at the top, which is not what I'm looking for when the pant legs are already extremely baggy. Each pant leg measures more than 12" wide. The jean is also relaxed through the hip & thigh. With only one product picture and no description, it looked like there would be less material at the top. It's almost too wide at the top to be flattering. I couldn't exchange for a different size, so I tried washing and then drying them on high heat. This seemed to help at the waist and the overall bagginess. My pictures with them on are after washing. I prefer a high rise jean, but the medium rise on this pair still sits high enough for my liking, though I do have a shorter torso. There is no stretch to the medium wash with them being 100% cotton. I noticed from someone else's picture that on the light wash jeans, it's 60/40 cotton and lyocell, respectively. I'm glad these don't have any stretch, as I don't want them becoming baggier as I wear them throughout the day. They're not extremely heavy or thick, but good for transition jeans between seasons.
