I got this for my 9 year old. It is true to size and yes, it really is GAP brand. This is high quality material that will keep my son warm as it gets colder. The material is nice and soft as well. He thinks he looks really cool in the saturated black and we experienced no balling, bleeding, or shrinkage when I washed and dried it. The stitching is great so this is very well made. I am very pleased with this thermal.

I am providing my honest review as part of the Vine Program. I purchased this waffle knit thermal for my son who typically wears an 8/10 depending on brand. This long sleeve thermal from Gap is made from a waffle-knit fabric, retains heat, and is soft unlike others trending. I feel as though the fit is true to size although it is pretty long in length and in the sleeves which is fine because we have some room to grow. The thermal is comfortable and has some nice stretch making it suitable for layering over or under other garments. I would recommend this product and I believe it has a fair price point for the quality you are getting with the Gap brand!

This thermal wear is snug enough to layer under a hoodie or flannel without being bulky, but with enough room for him to move comfortably. The "waffleweave" texture is what makes this shirt special. It looks classic and stylish, much nicer than a plain cotton long-sleeve. More importantly, my son says it's really soft and comfortable against his skin. He never complains about it being itchy or irritating We use it primarily as a base layer under heavier clothes on cold days, but it's also substantial enough to be worn on its own.
