  • Awesome value
Great product, been working on it for months. 😊

  • Great Kit for Beginners
Got this for my friend as a birthday present. He loves it!!! TLDR: Great start to Warhammer, but it is not a complete all-in-one kit that will bring you from 0 experience to ready to play a full scale game This kit does not include paint, glue, or faction codexes. After completing all missions, you will still have to learn how to use command points, faction abilities and keywords and strategems from somewhere else. This is a great place to start however, as the missions will progressively introduce you to the basics of more mechanics one at a time. By the end, you will want to replay all the missions with all of the knowledge that you have learned, and then grab full codexes of each army and replay them all again with information from the codexes. ***Glue is not required, as the pieces snap together, however, I strongly recommend grabbing some as the Necron arms don't like staying in place, and their arms are easy to accidentally snap ... show more

  • Open box sold as new
Looks like all items there, but all books and some items were opened from the shrinkwrap. Looks like all models on sprues are there but I won't know until I attempt to assemble.

  • Big like LeAnn Rimes, because I'm all about value
Really good value. I got the Command Edition and Recruit Edition. I like that they work together and don’t duplicate except with the infantry models - which you want lots of anyway. Nice way for me to get started in 40k with my boys. My copy came used, but I paid for new; that’s on the seller. But it really is a good value for money otherwise. ... show more

  • Great set
Easy to put together and comes with enough to start. I would glue them to have better chance in future l.

  • My package did not include Necrons and rulebook looked like it was eaten
Well I was very excited to get this kit. Me and my friend wanted to try it out. However the kit was missing items: 1. No necrons to be found 2. No rulers 3. No dice Also rule book looked like it was eaten by a beast. But command book looked slick and new.

  • Very nice set for anyone trying to get into 9th edition
Very nice set of marines and Necrons with basically everything you need to play. Notably there are less troops than 8th edition's Dark Imperium set, but you get a play mat and several terrain pieces instead. The one clear downgrade is that last edition included the full retail hardback rulebook, whereas this set comes with a smaller 9th edition rulebook with most of the lore bits cut out, but frankly for the purposes of actually playing the game and quickly looking up rules, this could be seen as a plus. The Necron redesigns are an improvement (unless you seriously preferred the old clear green plastic tube guns), and you get bikes. Bikes! The only thing missing is the artistic side of things. You'll still need sprue cutters, files, glue, paint, brushes, etc. Still, a good deal for the price considering how much the contents go for seperately, and considering the discounts often seen on Amazon vs Games Workshop's website prices. ... show more

  • Incredible Introduction to the Tabletop Game
I bought this with the intention of diving head first into the game of Warhammer 40,000. The box comes with a nice set of models with great sculpts and the full 9e rule book condensed into a pocket format. The box also includes some nice terrain to boot. The real attraction of this box set is the Command Manual, a booklet that sets up missions that teach the players how to play a game of 40k by slowly introducing game mechanics. I would recommend anybody seriously interested in learning how to play 40k to grab a friend that wants to play Necrons or Space Marines and to split the cost with them on this box set. If you're unhappy with the armies included, it seems that Games Workshop is releasing new sets every so often with different factions. ... show more
