This set is cute, but does require some minor assembly. I was surprised by how small the tea pot and cups were too. Otherwise, it's a standard little wood set with a cute overall aesthetic. Will go great with my little one's play kitchen.

    • Super tiny but cute
This is a cute tea set. My kiddos really like it. All of the pieces are very tiny so I wouldn't recommend it for very young or mouthy children. The stand isn't very sturdy and wiggles a lot, but it holds the play food just fine. Ultimately, my kids really like it and that is what matters most.

Why does it have to be for "Little Girls" everyone drinks tea and eats cupcakes in our house. :) I got this for my nephew who loves to bake and cook in the real kitchen so I knew he would love hosting a tea party on his own. I like that this set has treats and a tiered display stand. The paint on the treats isn't as neatly done as some other wooden toys that I have. I hoped that the cupcake pieces would come apart, but they don't. Also, the sizes are odd. The pieces of cake are bigger than the cups and tea pot. That's how I like my cake if I'm going to eat it. This is a great addition to any little cafe playset or tea party. It is the same quality as the *other* more expensive wooden toy brand and is much sturdier than the plastic play food of my childhood. Some assembly is required but I didn't have much trouble getting it together. This is a perfect accompaniment to any princess tea parties or other "elegant" imagination. We don't do tea often at my house (we live in America) but this might also be fun if you're across the pond or live in a home where afternoon tea is more common. ... show more

I love toys that encourage pretend play with kids. This wooden tea set was so adorable for my two girls. The pastries are adorable, the tea set is tasteful, and the playset can be self-contained onto the tea rack. My kids can be pretty rough with the set but we play mostly on the carpet and after a few cup clinks and drops on the hard table, the paint finish hasn't chipped on it yet. The wood is sturdy and does not feel cheap, with no splinters or openly exposed edges that could inadvertently harm children. I love playing tea time with my girls with this set. Really liked playing with this set with my nieces. They enjoyed the fanciness of it. We have a tearoom locally that the kids like to visit sometimes. This gives them something to play with, with their grandparents and family when visiting.
