This was m second purchase for this umbrella in a different color. The first one was maroon. It amazing it light weight and sturdy!!! let me tell you the wind has blown it hard a few times to where its and upside down umbrella and it doesn't break!! Its huge, the wind slots in the top are great it lets air pass. Its used mainly for sports game days and i have had several people ask me were its from due to size.

My husband works for the post office and we live in Florida. This is the best umbrella I've ever purchased. He loves it, and it stands up well to the weather and winds. It is very big so keep that in mind, but that that's what he wanted. It covers him fully and helps keep him dry.

I am quite impressed with the build quality. I opted for the 68” cause I wanted to stay dry in downpours as I plan on taking public transportation to and from work. Construction quality is great. There’s no bend or flex in the shaft nor the umbrella spines. I love how clicking the button gives you this slow release than turns into a catapult. It really comes off as like a jet airliner ramping up the engines before takeoff. Functionality it works as it should. Keep in mind I did opt for the 68” specifically for its size and it kept me bone dry in a very hard but brief downpour. Clearly the rain clouds were not happy that I showed up carting this beast. One of my favorite features was the carrying case and straps. I literally wear this thing like a backpack while carrying my lunch and work materials to and from the job site. Without it I would end up treating this thing like a walking stick. It is very long. I would definitely be mindful of your size selection if you live in a congested busy environment. This umbrella commands space and if you’re gonna be that guy who shows up to the Prius party in your lifted big foot monster truck yah you’re not gonna make much friends. Though on the flip side, if you see someone cowering from the from rain, you can be that special someone to show up and save the day! G4 offers other sizes. Find what works for you. The 68” umbrella can easily accommodate me and my gf though so I am definitely happy with this product.

Full Disclosure: I don't use this umbrella in the traditional way. I tie wrap it to the top of my bird feeder pole to keep the Florida sun and rain off of the food and to discourage predator birds from taking advantage of the vulnerable smaller birds while they feed. So, this umbrella stays in place 24/7 until it wears out, regardless of weather (except during hurricanes). I'm on my third umbrella and I buy this specific one each time because it has proven itself over and over. It simply doesn't wear out! Once, a particularly windy storm took it out and once a few clever squirrels catapulted themselves onto it from a tree branch and ripped the fabric. Beyond that, these last about 2 years under the conditions I've described before they need replacement. So, if you're looking for a quality golf umbrella for sun and rain protection under "normal" conditions, I couldn't recommend this one highly enough!

I live in Chicago. So I need some umbrella to function well in the windy rain. This is huge so good for two people or cover one person completely well. It works perfectly well agains that wind, it won’t flip!!! That matters!! The only thing I noticed is the water(rain) leak in a little and go down through the handle, a bit annoying.

I haven't had to use this umbrella for heavy rain. However I have used it to protect myself from the sun and it did quite a good job. The handle is quite soft though. So it gets easily indented when locking it in place on the push cart. I also experienced it with strong wind, but it did hold pretty well.
