Was going to call this the manliest cable, but it's SO manly that I have to say, "This is the womanliest cable I have ever jacked into my phone!!" It would not surprise me if this cable could pull my truck out of the mud AND have a baby at the same time! It's twice the diameter of a regular lightening cord, three times cooler, and weighs four times as much. It's so heavy that it pulls the plug out of the truck's lighter hole. (Tho, that may be the truck's fault for having a sloppy lighter hole.) It's also stiff AF. And the dogs don't like it, for sure, which is why I Searched for "Dog Chew Proof". Those bitches have eaten 5 previous cords. (No really, they are bitches. My husband complains about being surrounded by girls; me, the grand babies, the dogs, and the horses; female.) I love it so much!! Bought two! One for home and one for the truck. Or rather, one for home defense, and one for breaking windows. You know, after your phone is charged. Because it seems to charge my iPhone 6 plus quickly. Yes, I know it's almost 2019, and I still have a 6. Plus. But now it has a snazzy new cord! ... show more

2nd Update: I've now had this charger for over 3 years...I continue to use it everyday, and travel with it all around the country. The steel charger is as durable and reliable as it was since day 1. I've now gone through 6 phones (not kidding) in the 3 years that I have had this charger. In honor of my 3 year anniversary I'm going to buy the mini keychain charger today. Thanks again for the great product! Update: I've now had this same charger for over 2 years....I have used it everyday, travel with it, take it to work....its perfect. 11/27/2018 I've had this cable for over a year now, and it was worth every penny. This charger has not only worked every time, but had a few huge benefits I hadn't considered: -my cats don't chew ANY cables now. They use to shred cables (including my phone charger) not sure if they tried chewing this and had a bad experience, but they don't shred any cords at all now. -it's VERY easy to find when traveling, and I tend to lose things. -even though I could buy in bulk cheap chargers and replace them numerous times for the price of this charger, I don't have to worry about the cord I am using randomly saying 'device not compatible' at unoppodtuned times. 11/10 will buy forever! ... show more

    • This thing has been on fire for 20 minutes and my phone won't stop charging!!
I got it today. I went fishing and our truck got stuck. We used this cable to span the small gap between the truck's tow strap and a giant redwood tree. It was tense, but the towstrap eventually buckled and the engine was ripped from the truck's frame; but the Titan survived. I lost it on Everest once, but found it with my buddy Hans clinging to it from rock. He was always a jokester. We got him up from rock, and cable too. After 4 years of towing vehicles, use as a rope and a restraint device for that meth addict last June, it still doubles as a lock for my gate, my guns, my lawnmower and my good toolbox. I once used it to start my car (which I don't advise) and it worked, at the cost of my fingerprints and nosehairs. Cable still worked. I just learned recently that it can charge my phone, too. Who knew?! Lol. Would definitely recommend this product, as I'm now using it to write this review for me. ... show more

    • Ordered one of these and after a couple months it ...
Ordered one of these and after a couple months it stopped working for some reason. I suspect that internally the cables strain relief was not sufficient due to the metal casing, and eventually some internal connection wore out. Luckily, this product has a Lifetime Warranty, and after contacting the manufacturer and explaining the problem they let me send in the broken one & sent out a brand new one. Now I have a working iPhone cable again! Be careful how you bend this thing! I wouldn't consider that the broken one was overly bent at all based on the usage in my experience, however it did fail somehow, and I suspect the internal cable connections were presumably broken with normal usage. Giving this a 4-star rating for the company's responsiveness and willingness to honor the Lifetime Warranty! ... show more

I am giving this product 2 stars because I liked the durability of the cable itself and how it could be put into different positions. I would have given more stars if it would have lasted longer than a year. I bought this cable Nov 2016 but didn’t start using it until about two months later. A few weeks later, I gave the USB connector, accidentally, a tug while plugged into computer and the USB end bent up some. Then Nov 2017 it would stop charging my phone, no matter what position the cable would be in. Then all of a sudden the lightning connector tip just came off. Again, usage was LESS than a year. I tried to get a replacement from manufacturer, but I was never contacted back. OF COURSE, in order for valid warranty to be taken as authentic I had to register the cable within 90 days of purchase! Did the box the cable came in say to register or anything like that? NOT that I remember! I think the company never contacted me back because I didn’t register within 90 days of purchase, even though I had proof or purchase MINUS the box it came in, but really who keeps such a box? AGAIN the cable itself is great, BUT the ends are junky, at least for this older model (without any serial numbers or markings on it). The newer models “seem” to be built better but I can’t speak for them. ... show more
