Ordered this cord to replace on which had finally failed on me. As a Wedding DJ, I do my best to use solid equipment, including wires. As son as I plugged this wire in and powered on the speaker, it not only hummed by had a "fast, repetitive clicking sound." I immediately unplugged the cable and replaced with an older spare. I had to return the item, and was quickly and graciously offered my refund. In addition to the noise issue (and perhaps the CAUSE of the noise), the female XLR end of the cable did NOT fit snugly into my controller/mixer... I would not recommend this manufacturer for this type of product... (Revised 11/6/18) After posting this review, the seller contacted me about the problem, and sent TWO new cables for me to use by way of apology. I will not have a need for these cables until next month, and will try them and post an updated review at that time. At THIS point, I am upgrading this item to a 2-star review simply based on the customer service. UPDATE--- I have now had the opportunity to use these cables and found the sound to be clean, and without any interference. I purchased this cord to hook up a new/better microphone to my Ion Outback Explorer bluetooth speaker system. The cord in itself speaks quality. Unfortunately, I cannot speak to the sound quality as although the 1/4" plug should fit as the length is right but the circumference was too big. The stock cord supplied by Ion pictured next to this cord shows a huge difference in the size and quality. Still searching for a solution because I want to be able to use my new mic with my speaker. I'm sure that this cord will hold up and pass any durability test just from the sturdy feel to it. I would purchase from this company again! ... show more

I repurchased this because the one I have the Jack fall apart in my mixer. There was no tugging on the wire so I don't understand. Repurchased because I love the design of the cable so hopefully the new one last. I'd not I would have to part ways.
