I needed an L shaped desk, this was the best I could find. It went together fairly easy in about an hour. There are two things I don't like about it the desktop is only 19inches wide. Yeah its in the description but I didn't pay much attention to that. The second thing I dislike is the short L of the desk is about 4inches too short. I like the desk! But the views shown in the advertisement are a bit deceiving. The pictures in the ad show a single chair with two separate keyboards and two monitors as though swinging the chair either way will allow the user to use two computers. Well, pay attention to the space between the desktop computer shelf and the desk itself. It is only a little over 16". When a chair is turned to use that computer, your legs are up against the computer shelf and supports. You can't really get a chair into that space! ... show more

I was able to put this together by myself in just a couple of hours. I went through every package of screws before I started to make sure I had everything I needed. Everything was there, with extras. The instructions were super clear and easy to follow. Nothing was too heavy for me to lift by myself. It'll be easy to half disassemble when I have to move. I'm really glad I went with this desk. I got it on special for about $120, and for that price, it's a great desk. I would have been more upset paying full price to have it arrive and realize that the drawers are cloth. My main reason for purchasing was because it was an l-shaped desk with a file drawer, so I could condense my space. I'm skeptical of how well the file drawer will hold up under the pressure of actual files, but we will see. ... show more

The only thing I am concerned about with this item is the drawers. They are made of cloth so I wonder how they will hold up after repeated use. Otherwise, it is very sturdy. It did take my husband and me about 90 minutes to put it together. The instructions are mostly clear. There area few spots where you really need to pay attention to the picture to make sure you are not putting pieces on backwards. You will see a few comments about how the holes don't line up. We accidentally installed one piece backwards and only figured it out when the holes in the next step didn't line up. Make sure you follow the instructions and really look at the photos. My daughter loves her new desk. Now that she's in high school, there are a lot more textbooks to use. This gives her space for her laptop and multiple books open at the same time. I would recommend this desk. Be aware it is heavy so you may need help bringing it in. It is large enough for 2 monitors. The stands are movable and have grips on the bottom. Be aware that the two drawers are fabric, which is not problem for me. I did not add the filing parts since I didn't need it. I put it together by myself and it was relatively easy. Edit: updated to 5 stars for customer service. It was a much quicker response time than I anticipated and I am very happy with the solution they offered! Original review: I got 2 defective/damaged pieces, and the package did appear that it had already been opened and retaped shut. One of the lips for the drawer to rest on was bent out of shape in 2 places, and one of the legs was missing the piece on the end that allows you to screw the foot in. Both issues were minor enough that it wasn't worth trying to repackage and return the entire thing. I banged out the lip with a mallet to straighten it enough, and thankfully there are enough legs on this desk that one missing a foot doesn't seem to make it wobbly. I didnt expect the drawers to be fabric, but I guess it worked out in my favor because hard drawers would have probably been less likely to work with the banged up lip. I think I would have rated 4 stars if I hadn't received multiple damaged pieces. I reached out to the company for replacement parts, but have not heard back yet and needed the desk set up ASAP ... show more

This is a great desk. The only complaint I have is that the directions didn't specify which direction some of the pieces should be facing, so I needed to undo some of the work to fix it. Aside from that, the desk is sturdy and does what I need it to.
