Test it on an inconspicuous area. Step2: If the color matches, then apply to the scratched area. Or you can also blend several shades of markers to get better effect. Step3: Remove any excess pigment with a dry cloth or paper towel, let the area dry. Step4: If necessary, repeat steps 2-3. Step5: Tightly replace cap after use. For deep cracks Step1: Clean up and select a suitable color of wax sticks. Step2: Warm the wax a bit up and draw over the cracks. Step3: Scrape off excess wax with a card. Step4: Retouch the surface by drawing over scratches with touch up marker. Tips: 1. When using the wax filler sticks, please warm it a bit before use to soften it, it will fill hold more easily. 2. I needed to hide the seam on my island, where two panels of wood were coming together. I also had some gaps around the cooktop that I wanted to fill, so no food waste could get into it. Working around cooktop was the hardest part. My mistake was, that I left too much of filling in the seams. The seam between two pieces of wood I filled less and gradually applied the colors, adding/fixing shades when the first layer was completely dry. I am pleased with the result. Purchased to repair two holes in a kitchen cabinet drawer face. The drawer has a natural wood color with some darker grain marks. The wood putty works but doesn't have the granular consistency of a wood putty. It worked great to fill in the holes. Note: I used a heat gun to try to speed up the drying process. BAD idea - the heat actually started to melt the putty - so just let is dry naturally, The paint colors are awesome. Was able to quickly match the base color of my cabinets and the darker wood grain color. Repair job looks great! I highly recommend this kit for any wood repairs. ... show more

We were selling our house and needed to do some touch up on vanities, stairways, and the such. Also worked great on furnishings we had scratches on. Some things were much easier to use these on than other things. Markers much easier to use than the wax crayons but I am sure someone craftier than myself could do a better job with those. Our Lab puppy chewed a chair. We didnโ€™t want to get rid of the chair so I took a chance with the kit that included wood filler and sandpaper. My process: Sanded the chewed spot Filled with wood putty Allowed 3 hours to dry Mixed the light and dark brown colors and painted Itโ€™s not restored to flawless condition but itโ€™s a lot less noticeable than the chewed spots.
