I wanted a frame only to convert an existing desk, and two motors. I wanted to stand and be able to eventually put a walking treadmill underneath for fitness. I wasn't sure how much I'd like these kinds of desks to be honest. So to play it safe, I thought I'd try it on my existing desk. I'd heard from a colleague that they wished that had paid extra for two motors since the one motor worked but it wasn't as smooth and seemed to struggle a bit. They worried about durability. I saw that sentiment echoed online so it became part of the criteria. Otherwise I was open to options. I have another colleague who bought the premium brand, Flexispot, but they were way out of my price range since I really wanted 2 motors. One other huge restrictor is that the IKEA desk top I'm using is smaller in size - than most of the frames support. Put another way, the frames aren't small enough to accommodate it. Since the frames are adjustable you need to check and make sure it will fit your top. I took a chance on this one, simply because it only had one review (albeit a 5 star). It's product photo was identical to others, so I thought it might just be a reseller. I'm so glad I did! First off, I *love* having the ability to stand until I'm too tired, or want a break. The ad doesn't mention it but it does have the ability to set 3 heights with the buttons. It's a smooth action and not very loud. There is no jarring stop. I have nothing to compare it with, but it's amazing. I wish all people who have desk jobs in offices or remotely could have a sit-stand desk. I haven't miraculously lost 10 lbs in the few weeks that I've owned it, but I feel more alert and enjoying stretching periodically while standing. Next, the treadmill will (I hope) be a game changer. I just ordered one for my spouse. We sit opposite each other. True he doesn't sit as often or for as long, but I can't wait to install it for him. I have to think this is a reseller, who is willing to undercut other sellers who have more reviews because this is even less expensive than the October Prime days. I waited until then to check prices. Sticking with this one. On your first one, they're even offering a $10 off coupon. FYI, they don't offer gift cards/compensation for reviews. I don't bother writing most reviews, and I don't do it for payment. In other words, I genuinely hope that I help someone decide to take a chance on this one, because so far this was the best purchase ever. Obviously, I can't speak to longevity but I have high hopes. The media could not be loaded. It is easy to assemble, with a drill. Only need a table top. The motor is smooth and there is a stand for headphone and cables. Good choice overall
