  • Excellent
Style: 16oz
I actually hired somebody to wash my windows with this stuff for me. She did a great job and my windows look excellent. I hired her a couple years ago to wash the inside of my windows. When she had finished washing my windows a couple of days later I looked at all of them and they were just clean as could be. I have quite a few windows in this house, 30. That's including splitting the big Windows into two. Because they are two different windows just in one Big Frame. So I would highly recommend this product. It only took her a couple hours to do all of them. It was well worth it to hire her rather than hiring a company come out and wash all my windows. I saw my neighbor and he had some young people there cleaning his windows and it was kind of funny. He was actually showing them how to use a stick to push up on a window to get the cloth on it. There was about two or three at least of them working on his windows. And he had to show them how to do it. I actually changed the formula in a sense. I put one of those bags in a gallon plastic bottle and filled it with water. Shook it up. And then poured it into that spraying device. It cleaned the windows just as well as the original formula. I still have one bag left over. She even sprayed the windows on my car. I have a very tall house it's 24 ft to my roof and that spraying device worked great on my windows on the second floor. The only problem I had was that the windows weren't locked shut and some of the water got into them. But she went up there and made sure they were all locked up and cleaned up any water that had gotten through from the first time. I have nothing bad to say about this product it's sprayer I think it's a good product and it's well worth the money that you pay for it. It's easy to use and it'll save you money in the long end. The product didn't excellent job and so did the woman that I hired. It was easy enough for her to do I had one of those hoses that gets all the water out and shrinks up so it was easy for her to carry. ... show more

  • Not Perfect / Spot Free - But a GREAT ALTERNATIVE to paying others $500-$2K
Style: 16oz
Bought this to clean windows of 3K sqft ranch AFTER applying Wet & Forget Roof & Downspout Cleaner. (expecting those products to splatter on the house & windows during application) You'll see in other ratings how people moan that this product does not leave windows "spotless" or anywhere close to hand-washing. They're partially correct. Stress PARTIALLY. If you're talking about a typical urban / suburban home with years of that filmy-urban-suburban build-up on windows and screens ( that soupy mix of auto exhaust combined with several mos per year of intense humidity ) ... And if you're tasked with cleaning high-up, 1/2-2nd story windows, paladian and/or transom windows? YOU REALLY CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS PRODUCT! In all likelihood, you won't see "spotless results." But you'll take a lot of dirt off. You'll notice a cleaner window overall. And you'll save A LOT of money not paying someone $500-$2K to clean the same windows. WHAT I LEARNED / AFTER A FEW HIT-OR-MISS BLUNDERS (costing me 2 packets of solution) 1. Prep-Work is EVERYTHING. Mix the solution with hot water at least 40-60 mins in advance (it doesn't mix very fast even with hot water!). 2. Set the solution aside while setting up hoses and any other necessities. (ex. Ladders if you're spraying higher than normal) Be sure that your water pressure isn't diminished by attaching smaller hoses after larger hoses. And test-spray how far you can spray BEFORE you start. 3. TAKE NOTE as to whether the water pressure is lower-than-average (Ex. Saturday or Sunday in Late Summer, when everyone is watering grass & washing cars = probably not the best time to apply product BECAUSE you cannot spray as far) 4. NOTE THE TIME OF DAY. I've sprayed the product at dusk on a hot, super humid evening. < NOT THE BEST IDEA because the windows would fog up with the AC being in the high 60's. You you’re your windows to be BONE DRY after you apply it. Otherwise, you might be spending $$$ on a do-over, getting less for your initial money spent. 5. Keeping the overall context in mind – and realizing that you’re cleaning years of build-up off screens AND windows… Half expect to redo the windows if you’re not 100% satisfied with the results. Considering the price paid, no product is going to remove YEARS of build-up COMBINED WITH very little physical exertion. 6. BIGTIME Grain-of-Sale on the Infomercial claims of “clean up to X number of windows per packet!” I found that –after going through 1 entire packet screwing things up – 1 packet can maybe do 7-10 windows max. But hopefully my advice above will save everyone the hassle that I encountered. ... show more

  • Well, it does remove some dirt, but........
Style: 4oz
First of all, some of the reviews illustrate how people simply do not read directions and have no idea how to use this product. Mechanically, it worked very well. Distance it goes up entirely depends on your water pressure, but it will get 20-25'. Now for the review: Ease of application: It really is easy - wet surface, apply soap, wait 30 secs, and rinse. Location: Lake house in Northern Illinois. Cathedral ceilings 20' up. Tons of windows. Last cleaning: About 4 years ago (this may be a contributing factor) Application conditions: Early morning temp 68-74, not in direct sunlight. Water: Well water softened using salt. This is a soap with a sheeting additive - as a result, it is slippery. The bottle can be hard to hold onto when it is soapy. No big deal, just shift your grip or use a towel around the outside. Efficacy - how good does it do? This simply will not get your windows as clean as conventional towel/Windex. That is the honest truth. It leaves a slight coating on the surface that my wife hated. I didn't mind (you know where this is going). However, it did visibly remove dirt, and cleaned up pretty good. Again, not to my wife's satisfaction, but I could live with it. We tried 2 and 3 applications after the first dried - got better, but still left the film. Bottom line - if your not picky, it works pretty good. If you are picky, go with Windex and towels. The whole house cleaner again did pretty good, but a brush will do it better. Same issue. ... show more
